Hi, i have a 2014 A3

My A/C Button wasnt clicking on, as in the red light wasn't staying on. I then got it re-gassed, and the button now stays on. The air blown out is still warm.

How can i diagnose any issues, do i have to let it run for abit? I've let it run already for 10-15mins, and it's still the same. Does anyone have the same issue?

If you set the ac to LO and then run it for 10 or 15 minutes it should run cold.
If not it definitely has a fault.

mine did this for a while. i got mine regassed and it worked for a while but not properly. It turned out to be a cracked pipe near the condenser. a common problem with the A3. check the engine bay for leaks and i think green fluid.

who re-gassed it? I remember reading on 8P forum somebody getting too much gas put it (got 8L amount) and this stopped it working. TBH, i think there must be a leak if there wasnt enough gas for it to work at all in the 1st place.

Ive checked the engine bay, i cant seem to see any leaks. When the buttons off, the air is colder on LO, when i press the button a sort of whirring sound starts up, is this normal ?

It's still not giving any cold air.. And halfrauds regassed it, i had no other option.

they should have put a uv dye in it so it can be checked for leaks using a uv light, its not the sort of leak you can see (unless obvious damage to evaporator from corrosion or stone damage etc)

I can’t find the thread but I’m sure stone damage is a common issue on the 8v.

Had something like this with a car on my recent Scottish trip. Vehicle had been gassed via halfrauds but still had issues. I scanned the vehicle and it was reporting pressure too low.

Mine had a crack in the condenser. I think Audi VW design of putting the dryer in the condenser allows moisture to eat its way out through the condenser. Audi recommend an AC service every 2 years which I am guessing replaces the dryer and re gas the system?
Audi fixing my car under Used Audi Warranty but it did take a lot of complaining. My leak on drivers side (UK car) which can be seen looking through the grill and up towards the bonnet, pics attached.
