I’ve coded my reverse camera and I’ve installed the adaptor for the rnse. But there is no picture when selecting reverse. Changed 4 to value 1 in navigation module.

Thanks in advance

Did you connect the wire from the reversing light to connector C, pin 2 on the RNSE.

Right I’ve connected white wire to pin 2. The camera comes up on the screen when in reverse but the radio goes black when in drive.

I’ve taken the white wire out of pin 2 and the radio screen stays on all the time. What am I doing wrong? My chamber C is the reverse of the diagram on the instructions.

Just look at the back of the RNSE it shows all the pin locations, use these and no other. Also have you coded right, I thought there is another part you have to do. There are online guides on fitting canera, have a good read about coding. How did you get the wire into connector C pin2 ?

The wire actually has a proper metal male end that slides into pin 2. I’ve put that into pin 2 on chamber c.

The second coding part I’ve seen is about parking assist. I don’t have a module for parking assist. So don’t know how I’d do that.

Have you done this,

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Audi_Radio/Navigation_System_(RNS-E)
Adaptaion, channel 4 your screen will go black when moving until you code it right.

Channel 4 would only accept the Lamborghini reverse camera setting. I have the Lamborghini setting set as well on startup.

I believe the white wire needs to be wired to
Vehicle Electrical System Control Module, T23/5 or T23/8

Apparently those wires are under the steering wheel column.

Are you saying that RSNE, go into adaptaion, channel 4, reversing camera fitted, or not fitted, it says Lambo??
The wire goes to the place you had it first,
You had the reversing picture, when you move the car thinks you have tv tuner and cuts the picture. You need to look at your coding, never heard if fitting the wire in the module under the wheel. You must reset the RSNE.

I was told it has to be in Lamborghini setting on startup for a reverse camera to work. Is that incorrect?

I did see a guide that used Lambo startup,
But I dont think you need to do that.
Is your RSNE software up to date as well.
Or when did you last update your maps.

I’ve recently updated my maps. About a month ago.

Anyone else please to come in on this.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your help. I really appreciate it. I’m going to reset the rnse and change it to A4 start up.

Figured it out. I was connecting the white wire to the wrong red wire. It needed to go on the reverse feed from the reverse light not the switch live from the fuse box. Also changed it to Audi A4 start up but it still uses the Lamborghini reverse camera setting (1) in channel 4.

All I’ve got to do now is wire in a resistor for the led bulb in the number plate light.
Not sure where I get that from but I will figure it out.

Again thank you so much for all the help. It really is appreciated. Couldn’t have done it with out ya.

Glad you got it sorted, not sure how you wired it to switch live, but the good thing is you got it going.:thumbs up:
