Morning everyone,

Noticed my car is over revving on gear change... I figure it’s probably the clutch switch.

Does anyone know what the part number is? I did have a look through the usual diagrams but typically it’s one of those that states “look at illustrations”

I did quick search and found this. It says it fits a 2001 audi s3 8l Quattro.

Cheers again mucka, I’ve just checked block 066 on the ColorMFA and seems like it’s working.... although it’s jumping up to 1111 sometimes. Not sure if that’s normal or faulty. On idle it’s 1000, dipped it’s 1100. Then jumps to 1111 when changing gear under load.

mine is doing this as well.... but is working fine with the cruise control? Does anything else cause this, or is it only a clutch switch?

Thanks guys, I’ll look into it. Clutches switches aren’t to much money, so worth swapping out. Maybe just when I’m running up boost and changing gear, boost leakage, maybe DV? Not sure.

I just changed my Diverter valve, and had a brake servo hose leak which was messing my revs on start up, up and obviously braking was terrible, (replaced too).... but will try the switch see if it makes any difference.

Keep me updated bud, be interesting to see if changing your clutch switch works. That’ll be my first point of call as it’s giving me slight off readings under load.
