Hi I appreciate that we get what we pay for and my question is are there any cheap but good control arm sets that you chaps can recommend please. I find various kits on ebay for £120.

£120 for a full kit upper and lower arms both sides personally I wouldn’t as there’s a lot of work involved changing arms buy quality buy once is what I would do all depends on budget
Watch the large bolt at the top when you do upper arms normally gentle heat is required but it is only alloy BE CAREFUL

Sound mate I only do 1000 miles a year and the dude at my local garage will fit them along with new suspension which is a separate subject.
I fitted MEYLE HD ones and have no complaints. Done about 5000 miles on them so far.
Cost around £400 for a full set of uppers, lowers and tie rod ends
