So I was having some fun powersliding on some empty wet roads with traction off and I was getting some scary jolts (TA TA TA) and it felts like i was hitting a a sequence of potholes.

Is this something to be worried about? It doesn't seem to be a normal occurrence.

Nor is deliberate powersliding a normal occurrance.
That said, if the surface was smooth, then you would expect the slide to be smooth I suppose.
Is it something to worry about? Not if the car behaves ok in normal use.

Surely it should be able to powerslide without any issues as other cars do.

The surface was smooth and this even happens when i spin the tires in the wet.

Could it be the Audi collision assist thing where it brakes for you when it thinks you're about to crash. I cant think of the name it's been given by Audi but I do think it works regardless of whether your traction control system on/off.

That’s what I was thinking.
On old vag cars it was press once to turn traction control off and hold for a few seconds to turn stability control off. Not sure about the new ones. Never needed to turn it off and even then can still manage 4wd drift round tight corners at speed.

Why would it engage if there is nothing to crash into in front of me? Seems like a mechanical issue rather than an electronic one.

Stability control kicks in if it thinks you are gonna roll over not when you gonna crash into something like a wall. It uses a combination of cutting power and brakes on different sides to balance the car and keep it level.

But it is turned off NOT on sport mode. I thought he was talking about the adaptive cruise control that brake the car if an obstacle is approaching the bumper at high speed.

I get this in wet sometimes when all 4 lose traction I blame the tyres

That's it! Thanks for the clarification. Would setting the magnetic ride to dynamic reduce this wheel hop or is there no way around it?

Not sure I think a dog bone mount may help but worth getting haldex checked are you tuned ?

Same as me I only really noticed it in wet conditions and I lose traction quite easily with pirelli pzero not every occasion but now and then and my back end does lock up to
