ive got a 2014 s3 which is about gbp450 to insure for the year. Ive been looking at a weekend car something which wont do much mileage, we have only ever had two cars under different policies as one under me and the other the wifes. just seen on the weekend car its zero no claims and i cant use my 18years claim free years against that car which is seriously going to kill the insurance. how do people do it?

I use Greenlight insurance to insure my second car a very modified MK1 TT. They matched my full existing NCB on the TT. They are very mod friendly anything that doesn't increase engine power is covered no cost. Brakes, seats, roll cage, suspension etc.

I have a policy with LV that covers 2018 Mini JCW and 2018 Q5 for £450 p/a. Because we only had one Car before 2018 for a number of years, I had to stay again with no claims, whist the wife has 10+ NCD. They were still WAY cheaper than others.

Hi.
Please feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. We have a number of schemes design for 2nd, weekend cars with low annual mileage.
Regards,
Dan.

We'd mirror your bonus from the S3 onto the 2nd car and give you a discount for having both cars with us. Requesting a quote also qualifies you for entry in our current competition - https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/dashcam-giveaway-from-chris-knott.386379/

best,
Nick
Hi nick, i have just called and spoke to a really helpful lady, unfortunatley you cant quote against admiral or hastings direct and im currently with Admiral. Also my second vehicle will be porsche which apparently you wont cover as a second car which is a shame.

hi dan i did call unfortunately the guy couldn't get anywhere near my renewal price.

We won't compete against the prices offered on the HD Essentials product because it's not like-for-like cover - the Essentials cover is basic, no frills cover (no windscreen cover, no medical expenses cover, no cover for personal belongings, no cover for modifications/accessories, no cover for audio/visual equipment, etc).

Re. the Porsche, I've listened to the call and I think we heard Cayenne when you said Cayman. On that basis we probably could have covered the Porsche for you and added the S3 with a multi-car discount and come under the Performance Direct quote by enough to win both cars. I'm sorry about that.

ah ok, not a problem im currently with Admiral but i think thats still the same issue. Admiral have given me a price £250 for the Caymen as im only going to do max 3000 pa which is pretty amazin as i wasnt expecting that and keep the S3 at £393. thanks for trying though.
