S3 Lowering Advise

Hi guys

I have never lowered any of my S3’s so this is first haha.

Has anyone fitted 20mm springs front and rear?

Mine is lowered 20mm at the front on sport shocks and Eibach springs Nd seems to be fine , down side is if it has to go onto a recovery truck you might find it hard to get it up the ramps as I found out

Haha lucky I work for a Recovery company.

But cool I just ordered a set of KW springs 20/20mm
 
It will be interesting to see how you get on with a 20mm drop on the back, i have it on the front but the ebach kit doesnt include rears as its lower anyway.

Not sure why this was for you.. even the 10mm kit comes with rears...

Because your set is not S3, the S3 is already lower at the back.

Ebach pro sets for the S3 only have fronts
 
My set is for an S3 8va I just went for the sportline kit because I wanted that particular depth of drop, which I couldn’t get with the pro.

Isn’t this the pro kit?

No, thats for the Sline not the S3. Your kit drops the stock suspension 20mm front and back but the S3 is already 20mm down on the back so your kit has std S3 springs.
The write up for youir kit says
Please note:

all lowering amounts are measured off of standard shassis models, this would not include Sports, Slines or Msports unless stated. These models may be lower then the standard chassis models out of the factory meaning you will not see the full measurment stated.

This is a kit for a std chassis
 
Just realised you are 8v so completely different suspension to 8p, you are on the wrong forum.
 
Yes I have been aware, and was just on to help. Having looked I see the pro kit for the 8p is front only. I just figured it was the same, my mistake.

I bough KW springs 20 front 20 rear

Rear looks abit high to me so wanted to do both

I have lowered loads of my A3's but not my S3's haha and yes them little Screws when your running 19" wheels on the back come out straight away haha.

Bad news I wont be having my KW springs any time soon as they don't make them any more :(

So its APEX or H&R at the moment. Need to do abit of re-search before I make my decision on what im going to do. Grrrr
 
Struggling to find a kit delivered before Thursday haha As im away Thursday night.

If anyone has any Springs in there garage or something let me know :)
 
Had my car done yesterday with Eibach sportline before and after shot. Subtle drop of about an inch.
