I have an A4 2.0 TFSI Avant 2016. Think that means its a B9. My sat nav doesnt recognise roads even 2-3 yrs old and the MMI doesnt recognise some exact destinations, mainly only postcodes - can this be upgraded?
Also, can my MMI be upgraded to Android Auto (I have the Technology Pack, if that makes any difference). My mate has just bought a brand new A3 Black Edition and his Android Auto is night & day compared to my system. Can anyone help?!
Will dealer do it? How much? Free?

The B9 has Android Auto and Apple Car Play as standard according to my original UK brochure. For map updates for the Audi system, if your maps are on SD card then you'd need to buy a new SD card from Audi but this could still be a year out of date. The hard disk based navigation system had map updates for a couple of years via the myAudi website.

Thanks for your reply. As I have the Technology Pack I have always used bluetooth and left my phone charging on the wireless pad and from this the MMI just showed the basics on screen with no Android Auto app/icon however, it turns out Android Auto kicks in and over-rides everything on screen when you use the USB and hardwire the phone! Who knew?! Result. Cheers.

If you have the technology pack, you are also entitled to 3 years of Satnav updates. Probably worth doing before that expires, which must be soon as a 2016 model.

Thanks for that - re the sat nav update. Its booked in for 2 weeks time for a couple of issues. Ill make them aware of this.

You need to update the maps yourself as an Audi dealership will charge you the earth to do it..

As @cuke2u said, just download the maps from the MyAudi website to an SD card, pop it in your car and tell the satnav to update :)
