Facelift (Facelift) Sound settings resetting frequently (B&O)

This is great news about the subwoofer control. Been trying to get mine in the US for a while now. Time to call the dealer! Do you have a copy of the workorder? Is there a TSB number for this update?

Dealers have phoned me this morning (without prompting) to advise that an update is available to and to get me booked in.
Is it something you can do if I just call in?
No we will need the car for about three hours.
We can collect and return your car if it helps.
No, I'll have a courtesy car and make a day of it.
Booked in for next Friday.
Looking forward to a Sub control after 18 months!
 
Just returned from my first service and I confirm that apparently there is an update to the audio setting reset. Spoke to one of the guys at the shop and after explaining what the issue is, he managed to find the appropriate update. The SD card has now been ordered and should be available in 1-2 weeks. Will let you know how things go
 
Hmm interesting. I'll email my local dealer and check if they can do it.

So along with the bass, treble and surround settings9 you now have sub too?
Mind posting some pics of this 9menu so I can show my dealer and have mine updated.

Just got this below showing they are aware of it, currently for my car there is no update but the repair is in motion;

Matt how are you doing following the update? Is the B&O behaving well now? I have/had the same software version before you updated. I'm due to update my MMI in the coming weeks
 
Two software updates done today, MMI plus B&O sound system. The update seems to have given the sound more transparency and guts, plus I now have the elusive separate sub control!
Old software version was 0148, new 0213. I've been asked to report back if there are further problems.
Audi beam door lights were also replaced under warranty but pitted chrome exhaust tips turned down.
 
My version is 0679, I wonder is there a similar update for that available.
I think 0679 came with the Tech Pack Advanced.

Same for me. I read in another thread that version 0875 solves the subwoofer and B&O issue, but as it happened for many of you, dealership says that 0679 is tha last version... I wonder if there’s any way we could do the update ourselves?

Does any of you have the TSB number or parts number for the update to 0213? My MMI is on 0211 and only just now started forgetting audio settings a few times a week, and my dealer keeps playing the "there's no update"-card.

I’m in the US sand took my car in for maintenance and a brake check today. I had taken it in for this issue before and they had nothing. They said the TSB posted not too long ago.

The change is like night and day. Being able to lower the bass on the speakers and up the sub makes this sound like it should have from the factory.
 
Can confirm my car running B&O non tech will be updated to latest firmware on Friday... will let you know how I get on!

I have the same problem can I update myself or does it have to go in to dealers.
As of yet they say there is no update and a charge of £60 for diagnostic.
Car is only 4 month old.
 
Has to be done by dealer I’m afraid!

Throw them some software version numbers from this thread and they should find your update.

Well guys I’m up to software 0213 and can happily report the sub control is now present!

Too early to comment on volumes resetting, but sound system is much better !!

audi upgrades
Getting my update in the coming days.. leaving the car at the dealership this afternoon to pick it up later on this week. Will keep you posted.

It’s certainly made my car seem punchier (as in bass) even with fairly modest settings.

I have to say that overall it is a big improvement.

The overall performance of the MMI though is still seriously lacking in my opinion. The way it struggles to control an iPod touch with a fairly modest collection on is almost laughable!

Since the software update my settings have behaved fine except when I went on holiday for a week. On my return the settings had all reset again but this is the only time.
 
I have had about three instances of the settings reverting to default with current software 0213.
The only pattern I found is that the system always seem to have an issue before, for example today I switched off and got out car locked and walked away then noticed the radio was still on and screen up. Had to unlock turn car on/off and screen retracted. However when I used it next all sound settings had reset.
 
Can’t believe this is still not resolved in this update!

I’m also finding that performance of navigating my iPod touch is awful at times. I know the iPod has been updated a couple of times but I’m fairly sure it’s the MMI that is causing the problems.

They really should be able to push updates OTA so that they could fix things faster. Having to wait ~12 months between servicing in order to attempt a fix is ridiculous.

Resurrecting this thread....has anyone had any luck with this? I left my car in recently for a service and asked them about this. They said the couldn’t recreate the issue, so couldn’t update the firmware. Just wondering if anyone had found a reliable firmware option that didn’t keep resetting the sound settings?

Nope!! Mine still reset every couple of days or so. A pain but was told there was no update by my Audi dealer. Whether that’s true or they can’t be bothered checking I’m not sure!! I’ve got in the habit to keep checking and adjust them back!!

Same here.
 
This is known issue and audi released the new firmware update for it. Also you get subwoofer control with the new update :)

is this only for B&O? i lost my subwoofer settings when i upgraded my basic MMI up to MMI2 high. Will need to check version im on.

Yes only for B&O. No sub control with MIB2 and *** :(

I have a late 2018 and I don’t have any of these issues and got the sub control as well.
my software version is 1168 if that helps you guys chase Audi for this.
