Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered before but can't find it if so...

My RS3 is coming up to 10k miles and going in for an oil service plus other bits later this week. I have twice in last week had a really odd sounding noise from the rear, sounds like a drive shaft knocking or loudly clicking.

It increases or decreases with rolling speed and definitely isn't tyre or brake related. It's so come and gone so intermittent.

Has anyone else experienced or heard about this please? Thanks a lot.

Have you checked wheel bolts for any slackness had this clunking on the front turned out loose wheel bolts from the tyre place, not happy as you can imagine

thanks, but i dont think it would speed up / slow down with the rolling road speed if it was exhaust valves?

Do you have magnetic ride?

I had knocking and it turned out to be my top mounts, covered under warranty.

Nope, no mag ride here (about the only option not ticked!) - thanks anyway.
Its going in tomorrow so I will see if they can see anything, but I bet its one of those noises that wont replicate when you need it to!
