Got a quote to get line changed 390 which I believe is ok but they said the car needs to be cold for the change so have to leave the night before is that right?
Surely would make sense to drain when warm to get the most out. I may be wrong

Cheers

Ok well maybe they flush it after emptying the old oil.

I know when they fill it they have to get the gearbox to a certain temp then refill etc so sounds like a pretty strict procedure.

Seems cheap I thought the oil and filter kit were almost 400 quid.

Just had my transmission oil change done on the S7 autobox (think we are on the same boxes) Dealer parts, including oil was just under £180 (discounted price)

Think the S6/S7 are S-Tronic and they cost substantially less to service compared to the BiTDi ZF Tiptronic.
I've been quoted approx £700 for mines which includes a new sump etc. And as stated the box has to be cold to change it. Ideally being dropped off the night before so they can work on it the day after.

Good info Aly cheers. Do they flush the old oil through the system then before putting fresh oil in?

I believe they do yes, it's not a simple job though filling it again. I believe they have to change the sump and gasket as they contain the filter IIRC.
Audi have a software update for the box as well. Which costs around £100 from the dealer to have done.
