So my car threw an EML light last week, was booked in yesterday for diagnostics and apparently it's the Charcoal Cannister causing the fault!
Also I reported some Auto Stop Start error that kept appearing, but not heard back as to what that is or what's causing it.

*Rant Alert*
Gotta say that Ipswich Audi are the worst to deal with, customer service is shockingly bad.
After my review on them for the service where they didn't tell me that didn't have the parts, I was contacted by their head of service. Seems even after our chat just 2 weeks later I'm experiencing the same poor service, they never phone yesterday to tell me the problem I ended up having to phone them multiple times, at which point they said the part is on order and they'll keep my car overnight. Couldn't tell me when it would be ready today. And generally the service advisor seems like he CBA'ed to talk to anyone!
Hoping I get asked to write another review after this visit too, although seemingly it's not doing any good!

The stop start fault may well be the charcoal canister as well. Apparently if the ECU detects anything amiss its the first system it shuts down, even before any fault lights come up about the 'real' fault. I learnt this when I had a dodgy thermostat, it was the first symptom before anything else appeared.

There was a TB about some charcoal canister 'fix' as well that I had done to my car when it had a service. But they never told me exactly what it was about.

That's what they said too, but it didn't disable it completely, just occasionally which I found weird. But the canister is now replaced, and the EML light has gone off so will see what happens over the next few weeks.

I did make a rookie mistake tho, car was dirty, they said shall we wash it for you, in a moment of weakness I said yes, looking at it on the driveway, I need to wash it properly  Hoping to upgrade it soon, so no matter :D
Was funny a friend of mine has an M5, it's being traded in for a new one on the 1st March, so he decided to take it through a car wash as he couldn't be bothered to wash it as it's now just a trade in, sent me a picture and video of the brushes going over it. I was in tears!! :scared2:

Was the canister replaced under warranty or is this classed as a serviceable part?
