Has anyone removed the inner light on the boot (LED) mines not working it has the fog light and reverse light in and the led strip is the bit that's the problem

Any tips or sockets size needed?
I'm going to remove it on Saturday and just want to make sure I don't balls it up.
Cheers

Bought a new light and it doesn't work I have no power going to the LED both bulbs work
Any help

By light do you mean new unit?

If so unlikely both a re knackered. I’d chec if it had power going to it as it could be a wiring issue. Do all other led’s work?

Yes a new inner on the boot lid I bought.
The bulbs work fog and reverse but no LED strip. The local garage plugged it in today no faults but said there is not power to the bulbs and a couple of pins have no power. I don't get how a plug can have power to the bulbs but not to the strip it's the only plug that goes in

Because each bulb will have its own feed as the lights are switched differently. If they were all fed off the same feed they’d be on all the same time.

Yes but it is still being powered into that plug that feeds the light but a couple of pins from the car feed are dead and I don't know where to go from here mate

There must be someone on here had this as there is a few on line but no conclusion

Trace all wiring in the tailgate and hinge. Bet a wire is snapped somewhere

Have you seen the wiring it's all bound with wedding and branches off. I thought maybe it is the connecter

Yep. As already said in your other post. Best place to check first is the hinge area for a fracture

Wire goes to a box in the the boot lid in the middle .
Anyway booked in Wednesday at a local garage as I'm losing the will

Testing the pins in plug will not help either as the LED are duty cycle not 12v

Booked in Today.
I was explaining for others who may have the same problem which would have helped me get to this point.
