Milltek hjs sports cat vs race cat

What’s the difference between the milltek HJS sports cat (SSXAU200) and the race cat (SSXAU200R) they both seem to be 200cell ?
 
If it’s anything like bike silencers one may be stamped “not for road use” so would be an mot fail.
 
Ive got the race cat on mine and its passed a couple of mot’s no probs
 
Be careful, i have an APR cat and down pipe and we just got it through an mot this week. took an age to get enough heat into it but it just flicked over from .3 to .2 and passed. its not a forgone conclusion just because its a cat it will pass. some are only just viable.

Okay I’ll go for the more expensive HJS cat then. I guess it’ll be a little more restrictive tho ? I’ll speak to my MOT guy first aswell
 
More expensive doesnt help, my APR is probably the best there is and was £1000 but all these things are right on the edge of legal. you will be ok as long as the car is spot on engine wise.
 
Have you tried emailing milltek? They’ll be able to explain the difference, but judging by the part numbers and that they’re both 200 cell, it’s probably just a different exhaust note, race one is probably louder

I assumed it would just be the sound difference but wasn’t to sure
