Well.. it’s been a while since my last post, been on the lookout for an S3 saloon/RS3, changed my mind so many times, been one of those irritating customer, but I finally tracked this gem from Southport Audi.

Ignore the plate, but it’s a 64, and done just over 10k!

After seeing @Starry post definitely looking to get some spacers and lowering springs sooner than later, but first need to tackle the windows as there’s no privacy.

From other cars for sale even with more miles I can find anything within £2,000 of what I negotiated this car for which I’ll take all day long.

Waiting on the plate coming off and new V5 before I collect, there was a small scuff to one of the front wheels so that’s getting taken care of.

Saving a couple of grand will easily pay for the privacy glass and whatever mods mate. Looks nice in white although some may disagree (they know who they are lol).

Agree! I've had my S3 from new since March 2018 and it's already got 11k on the clock, hahaha

Thanks all, was a bit nervous I'd done the right thing getting rid of diesel. Absolutely over the moon with it, and a very conservative 36.8mpg on the way from Stockport to Glasgow!

hell man! I had 7k in 15 months and that was a main reason for getting rid :tearsofjoy:
I know it’s bad! I usually work from home 2 days a week and the office is only a 4 mile round trip so hardly any miles during the week :whistle2: more of a weekend toy :tearsofjoy:

Mine since mid Feb, a bit over 15k since :) don't get these people paying so much for an S3 and then only doing 5k a year! Seen quite a few people like that on here

I was talking to someone on a different group who puts theirs away in the garage all winter, only drives it in the summer, what's the point. He was only doing about 2k a year!

Circumstances change, when I got my S3 I was doing about 15/20k miles a year with site visits a few months into ownership I got promoted and that mileage halved. Just means depreciation won’t be as bad because my car will have 20k miles on it after 3 years instead of 45k

That's fair enough, I suppose sometimes there may be good reasons but I'm sure some people have simply gone out, placed a hefty deposit down, are then happy to pay a good lump sum a month to own it and then hardly drive it! Happy to hear about your promotion though mate, well done! (Even if it may have been a good while ago :) )

Thought I'd post a bit of an update, nothing much done to the car since I bought it bar some privacy added. Finally got round to giving it a proper clean and must say its in immaculate condition apart from what looks like a very minor break in the paint on the rear bumper where someones bumped the car.
Just to add it's currently done 11.5k now :rockwoot:

Looking good mate. Nothing beats a "clean" white car...
