ABS light started to appear now and then ,
clears on re-start

just checked with torque lite , no codes
showing or stored ..

need vag-com to read ?

Tnx G

Torque only reads EML illumination faults and even that is not 100% accurate example I get P340 camshaft position sensor error, reading with VCDS or VAG COM returns 341 incorrect correlation + the N75 disconnected + something else about low voltage

you need to get a lead even if only a cheap KKL and VCDSLite as you are doing a build aren't you?

This is headed as KKL VCDS LITE ....?

eBay item number:
282070963414

Auto Diagnostic Tool USB Cable KKL VAG-COM 409.1 OBD fits VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda

Cheap 5 quid kkl leads are usually fine but ignore the CD single with vcds lite on, just download from rosstech, Bobs your uncle. If you want more power you can register your copy, this *may allow you to log although I am unsure.

Ok- usb ones are ok then ? this needs a lap top with windows to run , not android on tablet ??

Yeah it works on Windows from xp to 10. I have out installed on my decent windows 10 laptop but also put it on an old Dell 10inch netbook running xp along with me7logger with the expectations of leaving that in the car with a 12v car adapter.

The kkl lead can also be used with me7logger but I think me7logger is a bit hit or miss with S3s - Ian managed to get it working by using a different application to initalise the cable connection, it didn't work at all on my S3 and works perfectly on the TT.

story so far . error 01432 Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200): Electric Circuit intermittent and
00526 - Brake Light Switch (F): Implausible Signal

so , first change the brake light switch , as second sensor takes input from brake switch .. ?

Do both your ESP and ABS lights light up when you exceed 50mph? Then disappear again after a restart?

There's a guide on ttforum related to repairing the lateral sensor, the one behind the glove box was knackered on my s3.

No, just the abs light , orange diamond , with circular arrow round it .. not speed related , as far as I can see

stayed off most of the way to work , showed up , after leaving the m way and roundabout .... stayed off all way back , 20 miles each way , next off , check codes again , see whats re-occurred ...ordered a new break switch , see if that fixes the intermittent signal

Good start , came to fit the new brake light switch , only to find . harness plug not mach..
this is the one that's fitted ... is this the one that should be ?
the two outer contacts of the 4 are recessed , not used , but the harness
has 4 wires ... change over model ?

Now after disturbing the switch, the 'orange light' is on nearly permanently ..suppose that's a result ...

Similar , that have the outer 2 contacts in the connector , flush with the back plate .. in process of sending new one back, with pic of the one fitted .... a few of the gizmos on the car , dont mach the reg number parts , found the rear wiper par number is vw-polo fit etc ..

Actually two switches , for the brake , assume one for the abs unit ? now have two new ones , one brought by mistake and one as per original , no dash light ..yet
