Wanting to update the Nav on my 2015 A3 (has not been updated from new)
Have gone through the procedure of installing the Audi software downloader, downloaded the Nav update (21.3Gig) copied it to an SD card (albeit a micro SD in an adaptor)
Put it in the car, select software update & choose source,
Error message comes back reporting “no update data found”
Looking on the web, others are having issues with the 2018/19 software updates
Any solutions yet please?

I had issues in my a6 with large sd cards 16/32gb.ended up using a 32gb usb drive. Have you tried using usb pen drive or smaller sdcards?

I read somewhere not to use a micro card in an adapter. No idea what difference it makes but you could try and put it onto a normal sized sd card.

No, that’s the only card I have with enough capacity, (can’t really go smaller! The next size down is 16G which is too small)

I can’t see what difference it makes either!
I had initially copied the download onto a card within a folder but the car wouldn’t even recognise the card so I re-copied the files straight onto the card, this time the card was recognised but unable to read.

Break it down to smaller updates rather than the whole world at once.

OK, now tried just the UK update on a USB stick. Not recognising the stick even!
Next attempt, will try it via the SD card, though its looking like I'm going to have to go out & buy a full size card

Not sure about the a3 but on my last a6 there was an MMI update that allowed it to work with big sdcards.
I reckon it’s something to do with the filing system used in the MMI. Old FS can only see 4gb.

Unless mine's had the updates during services, I can discount this theory! because AT LAST, I've done it!!!! (using a 32Gig card)

Tried the UK 1.5Gig update (the one that failed via USB) with my Micro SD in an adaptor, got a new error message! "Incorrect or Outdated data" so bit the bullet & have bought a Sandisk Elite SDHC UHS-I 32 Gig (full size) card & it worked a charm.
Cost £14.99
Quoted speed up to 80MB/s & I can definitely say that the downloaded file wrote to it far quicker than when writing to the 64Gig Micro SD

The update process was also pretty quick, upload took around 2 minutes to complete.

So must be the dodgy adapter.

Yes, that's all I can assume too.

Well I gonna try update mine later on usb and see how that goes. Only updated UK on Audi connect, doesn’t let you do Europe. Not that I need it but might as well do it. No doubt the server crashes like it always does

I have always used a micro card with an adaptor on both my previous A3 and now my current A4. Yours must either be faulty or it was the wrong card...
