Looks like someon dragged their bag/handbag. At a supermarket car park.

Anyone had work done at main Audi on scratches? Price wise.

Crazy, how on earth could anyone do that "by accident"?!

TX.

Gutted for you!
Don't go to a main Audi dealer for this. Have a search for a local detailer and phone them up. They'll probably be able to quote you over the phone, or like @cuke2u said, post on the detailing section or look on the detailingworld forum for a guide. You are likely to be able to do this yourself, depending on your inclination and confidence...it may not be all the way through the clearcoat, but might need getting properly involved with some wet'n'dry...

I’ve always been told that if you can feel a scratch with your nail, it won’t polish out? Is that too simplistic?

Yup. I'd be tempted to have a go at that myself. Buy a touch up stick (Paint in a small bottle with a brush) & touch it in with a cocktail stick. Build it up then remove the excess with a soft abrasive such as t cut. Still gutted for you............

In the past I've been surprised at what can be "polished out"

Its a pretty good guide, however sometimes you can feel it with the nail, even though it hasn't gone all the way through the clearcoat. Under those circumstances, you could still polish it out, however the clearcoat would be very thin, so you would then need to take other remedial action. Its hard to tell from the photo how deep it has actually gone.

Audi Glasgow I was £480 all work guaranteed for 3 years great job done to repair a small chip/dent and paint entire bonnet.

Car was also detailed and had a complete inside and outside valet.

Thanks for all the advice guys! You can definitely get your nail in it so it’s really deep. Might have a look at the detailing forum and maybe take it to a local detailing

I did manage a reasonable repair on a deep chip using the paint and cocktail stick method, then gently flattening it back with 1500 grit wet and dry. It was a solid colour not metallic with a clear coat. Local “Chips Away” would only recommend complete respray of the bonnet.
