Hi guys and girls. Havent posted in a while hope your all well !
Having owned my rsq3 for 6 months now and originally having fun plans for it, i have decided it just isn't the car for me, i couldn't enjoy the vehicle the same way i enjoyed my 8v s3 or my cupra for that matter ! I will be in the near future selling the car. Now comes to the next part for myself what do i go for next? Having test drove an aston martin db9 2005 plate recently i really enjoyed the car especially the v12 sound note ! Fuel cost is no problem for myself as i do 3-4k a year. But there is so many great choices for the prices im looking at up to 30k max. Just thought i would ask you folks about cars you own/owned. That you enjoy/enjoyed. Cheers gav.

I think you have to get clear in your mind what is important to you. Is it the size of the RSQ3, seating position or just a lack of involvement that you haven't got on with.
I was in the market for an RSQ3 to replace my 8V S3 whuch i absolutely loved. I ended up with an SQ5 and altough early days, I haven't given the S3 another thought .
I did need a car that was higher up though and so the S3 had to go.
As nice as the Aston Martin is, I couldn't take the risk with an older car like that.
What I would say though is to move it on after such a short time you will take a decent hit financially as selling private is tough at that price point

Haven't owned any but I recently had a job delivering/collecting some nice motors including Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, Maserati. Drove loads of different models but my favourite was the Bentley Continental.
Lottery win would see me in a Supersports but GTs are brilliant as well and a lot cheaper. Can't comment on driving an Aston but they look the part.

Hi ju first of all hope you and your family are all well ! With regards the rsq3. To be honest when i bought the vehicle it was not my first choice to begin with, being a 4x4 but for the price purchased, and being in good nick i had to buy it at the time. Now after 6 months of owning i can say i dont like the way it feels whilst driving. very clunky to me. Felt like no driver involvement down a country lane etc. And gear changes are awful in comparison to the 6speed auto box in my old s3. All my personal opinions btw folks. Being 22 maybe this is why i still want that low down vehicle with good driver involvement. Cheers gav

Hi steve thanks for your reply. Interesting view about the bentley btw lovely cars very comfy i would expect ! But for me think its a heavy and not my personal style. Did you ever drive a maserati gran tursimo?

Audi and involvement don't generally go together lol
Maybe your just at that point where the novelty has worn off and you've forgotten the reasons why you changed in the first place.
The RSQ3 is a unique car and a rare sight.
The SQ5 is also not so common, whereas the S3 I would literally see dozens a day lol.
For me that is a nice feeling on it's own!

Haha. Yes i do understand there are lots of s3's on the road compared to the rs and they are unique in there own way. My favourite car was my revo stage 2 ibiza cupra. Bonkers fast for my age then at 18 and so much fun no traction until after 3rd gear !! :racer: always been a big sucker for big engines tho :playful:

GTs are big/heavy right enough and I wasn't particularly struck on them until I drove one. They reek of quality are comfy and very quick. Sound great as well.

Drove a few Masi GTs, noise is the best part of the experience IMO - they are loud (still prefer the ww2 fighter bomber note of the Continental though :) ).

Newer GTs are pretty nice but I wasn't a particular fan of the older ones TBH, they don't handle that well.

Some of them older Continental GTs are seriously fast cars! Theres a lot of used ones around now, and a few of them are poorly looked after sh**tters sadly.

As nice as Aston Martins are, they are not the most reliable of cars unfortunatly.
