hi ive had an esp light come up on the dash and the quattro has stopped working ( rear wheels have no power )
just sending all the power through the front, ive checked the fuse and all the connections and found no problems, it first came up whilst driving down the motorway and i noticed the airbag light flickering and the cluster dispalyed SAFE ? any help on what it could be would be great! missing the awd already

I've checked the connections going into the haldex controller and the pump and it all looks like new, took it of and it looks okay( the part that seals onto the differential) Theres a place I found that checks and fixes them for £159 if i send it off too them, or try and source another one too try ?

I have just got the same issue and I was told the ABS pump needs changing. I swapped my haldex controller and pump before I was given this info. I am far from knowledgeable on this, but I am hopefully going to change my ABS pump. I have started a thread on here asking the question regarding part numbers.

Have it VCDS scanned.
Another thing to check is the ABS sensors.

Can I assume my local ATS can check this....? (other tyre fitting shops available...)

If they get scan the car for faults and depending on what they are using to scan it with.
A VCDS scan should bring up any ABS sensor error codes if they are playing up.

sorry for the late update..... it was a case of my car is sorted now so i dont need the forum anymore...... but that would be roooood.
I had the ABS pump changed and hey presto, quattro back in, no more front wheel spins at junctions and the ESP switch works as it should.
So thankyou for your help and patience and I hope this helps someone else.
