Novice Needing Help

Hi all!

Apologies if this has been asked countless times but I have an Audi A3 S-Line Quattro 2.0 TDI (170) 56 Plate and I’m looking to start it as my project to upgrade its performance. I’m just wondering what’s best to start doing first, the DMF and clutch is due to be done but as I’m looking at going stage 2 remap eventually I’d rather get one that can cope with that. I know I will also need fuel injectors and new turbo but no idea what order to do everything in. Any help would be appreciated!
 
Have a look through the builds section where i am sure you will find plenty off reading and help .

I will do thank you! Literally can see me having a whiteboard full of a list of things to do but hey that’s the fun of mods!
 
Advice you might want to start with interior , even small things make a difference like new air vents ( chrome ) led interior lights . Ashtray delete , cig lighter with flap . Check out a member @Ash187 posts .another quuck way to find post on whatever subject is google ( Audi-soprt.net/subject matter ) hit enter

Perfect! I have started with a few interior/exterior mods, currently rebadged the back removed the chrome Audi rings and the spec of the car and put on gloss black Audi rings, got a honeycomb grill coming, led lights put in interior and also reg plate lights. Carbon fibre wing mirrors. Still more I can do inside though granted.
 
Regarding tuning, it would be worth checking out Darkside developments

Don't suppose you have any photos of/tutorial for installing the lighter with the flap? Every old linked thread on here I've looked at has all the photos removed. Can't get an idea for what it looks like or how easy of a job it is

The one i used meant you removed the whole center console , but i am sure there will be an easier way to do it . Some off the lads say use a little pry tool at the gear ******** and it should pop up others say put thumb in it bend backwards and it should pop out . No harm in trying them and i will look for center console link which is based on an A4 / S4 if i mind correctly but did the job for me .
 
I’ll definitely take a look at some of the parts for sale on here. Just ordered some new aftermarket alloys pic attached. Would you advise to restore and keep the originals ?

At the bottom of page 2 (I think) of my build thread, I have the part number and there may be a pic on page one. To remove, put your thumb in the lighter socket and yank backwards.
 
What H7 bulbs are decent to put in looking for brighter but road legal maybe a hint of blue. I know HID kits are now illegal which is a bore!
 
I put a full set of Osram cool blue intense in mine and they are a much nicer white colour than the standard bulbs. They are also the correct wattage and legal. I did look at others for example H15 were 100w where as the originals are 55w so wasn't to sure if there could be other issues using them.

Depends if you want performance, looks or both, I had Philips racing vision +130 in mine for a couple of years but just changed over to the 'Next generation Osram laser nightbreaker +150' and really impressed with the extra beam length. The Philips were slightly whiter light but short distance focus which I think empahsised the whiteness more, overall the new nightbreaker give out more light but longer spread which suits me as gives good performance and the white light.
