I’d like to do my own maintenance on my 2016 A5 for fun. So far I’ve done an oil change and a new pollen filter and now it’s time for new spark plugs and engine air filter.

I’ve got the tools and the beers ready to go, but am puzzled by the 8 little connectors in this pic. They’re the black connectors with little grey tabs. Does anyone know how to disconnect these?

Thanks everybody
-Rich

They’re the electrical connections for the injectors. Unless you’re going to be changing out injectors, I’d be inclined to leave ‘em alone. If you really can’t resist the temptation, the grey tab locks the connector onto its socket. Lift up the tab, and the connector should pull straight up. Do NOT get the connectors confused when replacing them! Oh, and make sure there’s no power in the system - ignition off, and convenience key nowhere near the car.

I would be wary about doing your own maintenance on a car that still has warranty.Even if you don't claim on the warranty ,On such a new car lack of service stamps in the book can have a negative impact on the value of the car.
Not a problem if you intend to keep it for several years. As @JulianW says I wouldn't be disconnecting anything that you don't need to. And I can't think why you would be wanting to disconnect the injectors if you are changing the plugs and filter.
