Just back from Auto-tec at Port Glasgow. Had my S1 remapped as part of the Group Buy on here. Totally transforms the car. No issues with the clutch & it pulls incredibly well. I had a Pipercross Panel Filter fitted during the week. The car made almost 315 bhp (dyno to follow).

Really happy

They have a waiting/display area where you can see dyno figures on two TV screens - you can see it in the photo. Really impressive setup

That is just incredible! These cars have so much potential. How much do S1s weigh?

It is an amazing power hike with a remap. These cars have so much potential. Are you running V Power or similar high octane?

i was on Tesco Momentum. However, on Robert @ Auto-Tec's recommendation I have been using V-Power Nitro + for the last couple of weeks

Yeah I use V Power. To be honest the ordinary S1 is meant to be on super unleaded any way so it's worth the extra money

I would never run any car like this on standard petrol always on Super

Nice, be interested to see how the clutch stands up to the abuse over the next 6 months or so.

Yep time will tell. I have done about 1000 miles on my remap and clutch is fine. The car is like a rocket on full throttle.;-)

Can't remember tbh. Still haven't had a reply from Auto-tec. I was promised an email Saturday with the RR results so I could stick it up here :(

Ah man soon as you get the results post it up, is the map defo worth the money then? exhaust next?:wink new:

He has just emailed me the dyno run. Defo worth the money. We did talk about stage 2 briefly but still being developed.

Some incredible gains there!

Two questions, if I may:

1) Do you intend to flash it back to stock when you sell the car? Will Revo re-flash it in the future if Audi overwrite the map?
2) How much did your insurance premium go up by?

Thanks :)

I'm not going to bother if I go for a map half the time when you ring them up they don't know what a re map is and don't understand pointless

Specialist insurers like adrian flux are ok with these sort of mods. My previous car was a fiesta st with a peron turbo and intercooler upgrade. My insurance was about £300 for the year with the mods declared.

Aviva added £50 to my £220 premium for the 50bhp increase with the tune. If I added an exhaust as well it would put the excess up by £100 but not affect the premium.

is the exhaust likely? thought you were going all rs3 on us?

I was going to Miltek it when new, but someone else got to be their guinea pig a week before I took delivery, but no, I won't be doing it now.

What power is safe to use with a stock clutch if I remap my s1
It depends how you drive. I got 30 000 miles out of my stock clutch where as someone else only got 1200 miles. If you are going to spend your days dumping the clutch at every set of lights then it won't last. I always got moving before giving it full welly. Mine is on abt map with updated intercooler and pipercross filter/mk hose. It's 315 bhp

My Stage 1 APR map improvements are in my signature, I'd saved for the Sachs Organic clutch before the map and was back within two weeks as the OEM clutch was slipping badly :)

Thanks for getting back to my question is there a noticeable difference in power with the stage 1 map
