Well chaps , i'm afraid I have to be a bit of a grumpy old git this evening really.
Its been less than 12 months since I upgraded my oem HID's to Morimoto 6500k lamps , initially they were very good but of late they have become very unreliable and I think for the money they were not a good purchase based on how short lived they have been and they are not cheap either.
My drivers side one started playing up a few weeks ago and then failed altogether last Friday so had to remove it and refit the original oem bulb , and this evening the passenger ones is flickering a lot, really not what one would expect from these bulbs given how well they are rated by morimoto.
Frankly very disappointed with them and now having to fork out more cash for replacements.
Not sure if i'm one of a few odd failures or if they are known for such short lifespan given I don't use the headlamps that much at all.
Whats the general view on them and any good alterantives on the market in the same colour temp.

any feedback would be good.

Never heard of the brand and haven't had a positive experience with the vendor they were purchased from, only Philips or Osram will be going in my sockets.

Not had experience of them. I was interested in trying them but after a very poor experience with the same vendor and the LED DRLs they sell I decided against making a purchase.

Ive had my MTEC HIDs in now for a couple month, and I always drive with main beams on so they done some hours and not a problem with them yet.

Think they cost me about £50 for 2 bulbs but I got an offer on them!

I need something sorting out as I'm not getting any feedback from the vendor .

If it is the same one I used it I initially received delayed replies and a phone call to “fault find” whereby I ended up swapping components over for him to diagnose the exact part that had failed. He eventually agreed to replace one side but as time went by nothing was received. He fobbed me off by saying he was waiting for more kits although they showed as in stock on the website. After a while he stopped replying to my emails so I had to raise a dispute with PayPal. I eventually got my money back minus the cost to return plus the costs of the suppressor rings I had to purchase in a attempt to regain my DAB radio signal that was lost whenever the DRLs were on (a secondary fault in addition to the flickering lights). I ended up £20 out of pocket.

Osarm blue intense 6k all the way.

Is that what you are running Dani, any recommeded sources for them and prices.

Yes Rob, i bought them the same time you got yours, i spent ages researching them and unfortunately saw a few comments on the same line as what you said/experienced.

The bulbs are amazing to be frank, they've burned in now and are a pure white, no chavvy blue colour etc as you may think youd get with a 6k bulb, tbh the bkue intense come out with a better light output than the nightbreakers and dont have the yellow tinge either.

Powerbulbs is the best place and they have 25% off currently

sounds good Dani, just a pain now as i'm going to have to deal with that passenger side bulb removal/refit all over again, the drivers side is a easy fit.

oh well , nothing is ever easy ....

is it these ..
