Another alloy wheel thread (Sense check required)

So, for a few reasons including how expensive the OEM rotor alloys are to buy and/or refurb diamond cut I have deiced to just buy a new set rather than fix/replace what I have including buying spacers.

I think the OEM's will be my winter wheels.

Before I do can somebody who knows for sure check my offset maths.

If I'm right then with the OEM set up of 9x19 ET33 then most people choose to run spacers of 15mm front 20mm rear. With the set I want they are 9.5x19 and I can get an ET25 meaning stick out from OEM will be 14.4mm negating the need for spacers on front(this was my plan) and just 5mm or so for the rear.




I think this is a pic of staggered alloys 8.5 front 9.5 rear. I will have the 9.5 all round as I think they have a deeper concave and the look I wanted.



Does anybody see a problem with this or my/the websites maths?


Lastly I have a black car and didn't want to go for the standard black everything look but it does look good in the picture. I can't find pics of the other options on a black car, can anybody photo shop?

Options are Silver, gunmetal and mat and gloss black(I like gloss black)

Doing a search online for 9.5 rims throws up lots of info but it remains consistent at 255 to 265 as the optimal. I think Audi and other manufacturers seem to overfill thier wheels with rubber.

Moving to 265 is a 3.5mm increase only and a -1.05% speed difference. I think the recommendation is to stay at a 1% difference if possible so 265 is fine. Just another £80 to move up to the 265 so I'll see how they look with 255 fitted.
