Hi there, I have recently started to dress my boring engine bay up. Took a gamble and ordered some parts from ECS tuning in the United States as they don't have the RS4 over there. Some bits were ok as the carbon fibre air box cover and air intake, ordered the wrong ecu cover and the silicone hose for the air box didn't seem right. Has anyone tried anything similar as I don't want to go to far just incase of warranty issues. Would like to share other peoples experiences and part vendors

Nowt to mine although I did see a beautiful ally cross brace somewhere vs our ugly xxx one. Will try to find it again.

TX.

Looks great just want to do some subtle changes as when it goes for service don't know if I will have to swap back to original parts

oooh I'm such a tart, I do like stuff like that brace and an CF parts.

Finally sorted out how to put photos on . Picture of carbon fibre air box cover and intake from ECS TUNING

That does look lovely indeed (I'm afraid to look the prices up though!). ECS do a nice cover in CF for the radiator cover too I think.. Did you inform the insurance company - I guess it's just cosmetic so no performance effect?

Unfortunately no it doesn't as the air box one is just a cover . Simply remove the plastic accordion hose remove the fixing screws fit the cover on top and put screws in and hose back on . They do a kit where you totally replace the air box with a nice billeted aluminium piece for the cone filter all covered up by a big carbon fibre panel. They have a video on YouTube on how to install it with a test drive of there s4 and it does sound good

No need to inform insurance cosmic blue as there are no performance gains only visual gains . Mind you when it goes in for service I will probably refit original air intake as I noticed this part did have several holes in it as the carbon one doesn't and knowing how fussy Audi are better safe than sorry

Thats looks great and will match my Carbon engine cover - everybody loves a bit of Carbon Fibre!!

Which part numbers are these Chris518? I cant find them definitively on the ECS site :(

Hi nervous
Sorry for the late response. You can buy these parts individually or as a set which is what I did . I bought a few other bits as well like a carbon fibre ecu cover but I didn't check and ordered the A4 one instead by mistake so got to sell that to fund the purchase of the correct one. The part number is ES#3476954 for the pair . Individual part numbers intake box overlay ES#3447943 inlet scoop is ES#3537354. If you wanted the ecu cover , part number is ES#3247906. I emailed ECS tuning before I ordered as they haven't got the B9 RS4 in America so it was a bit of a gamble. Be warned as well as the shipping you will have to pay custom duty before it will get delivered. My total order with shipping came to $506 dollars and I had to pay parcel force another £81 on top. That's why I am so annoyed with myself for getting the wrong ecu cover

Thanks Chris - I'll be ordering the ECU cover for mine - looks really good. I work for a company that has it's HQ in Houston TX so there will be the obligatory sales kick off in January, so might try to bring one back with me from that trip.

Sounds like a good idea . Shipping cost not to bad but it's the import tax which is a crippler

Group buy - let's leave this open for a bit. I know that the reserved date of the SKO is w/c 21st January, when the formal announcement is made/flights booked and I know the hotel I'll give ECS a call - maybe they can ship direct to the venue. I usually aim to fly with just carry on luggage but I could still bring 2 or 3 back I guess.

This is the one I bought incorrectly, just so you can see what they look like
