I have 2008 a4 with navi plus rns-e unit (tilt one). A lot of guys with same unit get good picture from tv but all I get is fuzzy pic like not got valid signal. I know some were analogue and some are both analogue and digital. According to handbook I think mines is Ana & digital. When I try to connect to navi on vcds it doesn't connect to module. Anyone have suggestions to fix or diagnose problem? I know there are android units but don't want 1 yet. Only want to get tv working. Thanks

freeview tuners are pretty rare to come across, if you're just getting a fuzzy picture then you just have analogue.

which version of vcds are you using? send me your reg and i can see what it came with from factory

Now I know it's analogue cheers Darren .what's best option now to get tv working ? Is there a specific audi tuner that appears on ebay at all? Have heard Kufatec do aftermarket one but i know zero about this kinda stuff

Your car has the QV1 PR code which relates to analogue reception.

If it had QV9 then it would have digital.

I completed a quick google search and it seems you can fit 8J0919148C but requires modification to the antenna connectors. Remember this will not work while the car is driving.

There's one on ebay for £130. Where does this go Darren? In place of the one in the boot or what? What modifications need done to antennas? Finally it says for A3 RS3 8P. No mention of a4. How dya know it fits mate? Oh. And does anything need done via vcds after installing? Thanks btw

Not sure on the exact location on the 8E but I'm guessing in the boot somewhere.

No idea on modifications, pls research this yourself as i don't want you doing something I recommend then breaking it.

Tuner is for RNSE, these are in different vechicles. The one fitted to your vehicle currently started life in a 4D A8.

No idea on coding, again check this yourself on the internet.
