What have you done to your 8V today?

I know - £100 per 10hp advertised increase over stock. All the higher stage maps are free but £720 as a base is nonsense.
It is , MRC quoted £500 with Dyno for stage 1 on my 2.0 TDI. I know where I'll be going .

Anybody noticed the battery in the key fob can be a little loose? Car was whining at me to put a new battery in the fob last week so I did, only for it to somehow have come a little loose (I say loose, it was still snug in there but must have raised up a little) whilst I was out today. Got home and stuffed some paper in their to keep it all the way down, odd that it came loose earlier though.

Snow foamed, Clay gloved with a Farcela G3, Meguiars DA polished followed by their “ultimate liquid wax” to finish. Looking good for a 3 year old car?

Soo....after much thought I traded my S3 after spending quite a bit getting it to stage 2.

Just had a really nice offer I could not resist .

Got this bad boy...

Lovely car, can't say I've ever seen one on the road, they don't seem very common.

Just had a blackbox fitted today. Not looking forward to it :sign unfair:
Having had 2 blackboxes from two different insurers they're a pile of rubbish. Got penalised for driving in peak hours (which I had to for work) and high risk roads (dual carriageway). Only way to get a good score is do a huge detour and start work at 12 and finish at 3. Couldn't wait to remove it. My renewal then came through for £300 more at the end. Mini rant over.

worthwhile mate, i had one when i just passed.....in my 1.2 07 Polo mind, loved that car
Only got one because the provided without one blocked my payment (bank blocked it, called them up only to find out the provider blocked me after for too many failed payments). Lucky me just chose the cheapest one which is apparently utter crap

I had one and ignored it basically forgot I had it. Just couldn't go 100 mph, that was only limitation.

After a year I changed insurer with 1 year ncb.. The driving analysis is gave was total nonsense anyway.

Not really a 8v anymore but couldn’t help but share this sound after res delete.

Sounds great, did you get a regular garage to do the res delete or a national chain? It’s been a right pain to find a garage willing to fit my BCS res delete in Lincolnshire!

I just had a decent local exhaust shop fabricate the crossover and some straight pipes. As I had two resonators to delete

Upgraded the alloys and S3 18” alloys!

And then gave it a nice little spray down!

Finally booked my car into unicorn for stage 1! Also received ramair turbo inlet elbow to help which I'll fit tomorrow. First time doing any sort of performance tuning to my car, I'm addicted. This could get expensive!

I've been trying to do this with my door lights. Did you already have the door option? Looks like I need either door modules precoded or have to get vcd pro

Actually this was the first step of my ambient lighting retrofit. I plan to install the door lights the next weekend (maybe I can install the cupholder lights tonight).

"It seems, as I am yet to test myself, that the door modules need "parameterisation" in addition to adaptation and coding to full support the lighting as per OEM spec. You will need ODIS and an online connection in order to do this, or VAG CAN Professional."

I'm still not sure about the coding, adaptation and parameterisation that will (or not) be needed in order to make my door lights work, especially because I've replaced my stock door modules with pre-owned units that were installed in another car that could (or not) have door lighting installed, so I may have surprises. I think I will only know when I test the lights. Maybe I'll make only the electrical connections and make the testings first, before cutting any holes on the trims.

Yesterday fitted Eibach pro kit on my Sportback '15. Handles much better with my APR anti-roll bar!

Unicorn custom Stage 1 map. Ramair turbo inlet elbow, silicone hose, and snow grate delete.

Amazing figures! So happy. Car is transformed. I thought it was fast before but now it feels like I've hit warp speed!

Kinda out of stuff to do. Only updated my ECU software. Took a few minutes with Odis Engineering, still need to make more km's for further testing but first impressions are smoother CoD mode and a bit smoother drive.
