Wish I’d stretched my budget and gone for Ara but I just needed the tech pack and Supersport seats more

Ara was the one thing that I wouldn’t compromise on, if it wasn’t Ara it wasn’t happening. Your label thingy says A4 though, are you now in an S3?

Had a B7 A4 last time I was on the forum. Currently driving a MK7 GTI but have the S3 on order.

Don’t blame you. I saw an Ara RS3 in the dealership and in the sun it was stunning

Nice. What colour have you gone for? Amnguessing it’s gonna be the MY19 spec then?

Just went for Ibis white because I wanted the other options within budget and I’m hoping that detailing will be less of a chore. My current and previous cars have been metallic grey and they look amazing when freshly detailed but I’m plagued with swirls and holograms and am always correcting the paint.

MY19 spec yes. Hoping they don’t mess with the exhaust sound when adding their petrol particulate filter.

A very grimy S3 in a bitterly cold spot on a stunning morning. A well known venue in the background....... any ideas???

Reiger front splitter fitted. Anyone looking for a splitter the fit on this was perfect!

By any chance does someone have a picture of an Ara blue Sportback (chrome) with the sunroof?

Really tempted to change from Mythos to Ara, but not sure if I'll like it with the huge black sunroof.

Fantastic upgrade! Sure you're enjoying it already! Such a great all round car in my eyes!

Looks awesome. How are you finding it compared to your previous a3?
Well, as my S3 S-line was a 150bhp Diesel, the S3 lacks a bit of instant grunt but then woooosh is its ****ing fast! :racer:

Yes Adam, I loved the practicality of my A3s I can get two pushbikes is the back or my three Grandkids on the back seat but the grunt of the S3 makes it a very hot hatch. What was a shock though was that I had a 400 mile round trip to PX my old and pick up my new car. My old TDI averaged 55mpg at about 80mph motorway cruising my new S3 only managed 36mph at the same speed on the way home

Odd. I've seen and managed 40-43mpg on the same journey, if yours is new. Maybe it'll need some bedding in!

No its done 10.5 K miles? I took it out for a (quite heavy footed) test drive and the trip 1 was showing 21mpg when I set off home and I took the opportunity to use the cruise control set at 79mph for much of the trip .

if you're after mpg find the best speed at which your boost gauge isnt showing anything and stick your cruise on at that, found that helped with me

Thanks Matt, no not really after MPG, I knew the S3 would be thirstier, it was just a but of an eye opener! to be fair there was a strong tail wind for the TDI and a headwind for the S3! :)

I got a new camera (Nikon B500) and this is my first time using it. Unfortunately I had the resolution set too high which took it way above the 2mb upload limit so had to reduce the size.
I think the rear 3/4 view of this car is the most flattering.
My car is approaching 6 months old(doesn't time fly....) and I think it looks pretty good for never having been detailed in any way....just washed.
It was my intention to have it ceramic coated from new but my local detailer is not currently trading.

(Just to let you know how lucky you are to live in any other country, I'll let you know that I paid around 43.500£ for this car - due to ridiculous Car-taxes in Denmark)

Welcome but WOW, £43500 for an A3, RS3 money in UK. IMHO I think you need to change them wheels mate and it will look better.

Yeah I know, thought about moving to another country for a while because of that.
I totally agree with you about the wheels, but they are only for the winter, will get some 18" or 19" wheels in the spring.
