What Detailing / Car Care Products Have You Bought / Ordered Today?

Rupes, yep yep
The Flex is a better machine mate far better, ie its overall build quality and its cooling system behind its backing plate ie the pads don't heat up making dusting almost redundant

Let is know when your mini DA is up for grabs as @q5man has decided not to talk about it at all . He thinks I am funny

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Haha @Tashfeen. Been using the mini da to repair the mark on passenger door handle, thanks to some inconsiderate f*ckwit. Been building up the layers and then polishing with mini da, and will then top off with clear and polish

Chaos, in a separate note, just bought some 18” OEM wheels from Germany, going to shod them with winter tyres.

Recommendations on coating, as will then do them once tyres are on, before fitting around the end of Oct.

C5 - couple coats?

C5 will do nicely mate and if i where l would go over them with the mini rotary with some S20 before hand then wipe down with ipa or something similar

Nice one, and yes, planning on using mini da before IPA and couple coats. Should I leave 24 hours between coats?

When I then have summer wheels off, will do the same with them, that way whole wheel and not just outside gets coated

Will get 30ml and see how far that goes.

24 hours no chance get a small heater on the new wheels and it'll cure in a couple of hours mate, curing times vary just because of the ambient temperature, just polish one wheel, then apply the ceramic then fire it in front of the heater and by the time you've polished/prepped/coated the next wheel the first wheel will have cured

And If remember correctly the gtechniq C5 curing time is less than the equivalent paint ceramic, also lol l would buy in a wee bottle Sonax perfect finish for the new alloys as it has more cut, cuts quicker and leaves a better finish, easier to wipe off the surface, easier to clean off the pads than S20 there you go, my S20 has never been used since l got the Sonax, it's more expensive but by god its worth it

GTechniq C5 ordered (30ml), free delivery option (3-4 days):

Upload 2018 10 9 9 45 19

Once Alloys arrive, will order tyres, get them fitted to alloys, then prepare/polish/seal them before fitting probably end of month or early Nov.

Any tips on tyre places appreciated. So far Blackcircles, Camskill, Mytyres appear to be best pricing.
Around £130ea fitted

Need 235/60/18 Winter tyres for Q5

I have used Cartyres.com and Blackcircles but never used Camskill. Cartyres used Halfrauds for fitting and Blackcircles use ATS both of which (BC and ATS) are owned by Michelin. A colleague at work recently used Camskill for his M140 and it came out as cheaper than the other two.

Nice Nice... if it were not for CYC stocking gyeon products mate, l wouldn't use them as they are far too expensive and the discount is around 3%, for example my last purchase from them came to £190 l got £6 cashback to spend on my next purchase and you don't get free delivery until you spend over £100, choice of products is the best, but you can't build up a loyalty discount with them
