Long delays for new orders due to WLTP emissions testing

So Audi Executives office confirmed to me yesterday that build weeks will be allocated in November. If mines close to the front then it’s likely I’ll get it by the end of year, but I think I’m in the middle somewhere so I think it’s unlikely I’ll see it until q1 2019!

Asked for a car in the meantime and they’ve said no, asked for them to guarantee my previous PX price and they are coming back to me.

All in all a very ****** experience. My friend has just got a top of the range E class for £313 a month through lease so I may well be cancelling my order and looking at lease.

Do you.mind me asking what e class as I have been looking for a 220d AMG Line. The ones I can find are stock cars though so can't spec widescreen cockpit. Be grey to know!

His is possibly stock as he’s been told he may not be able to have metallic paint, I’ll see if I can find out. Delivery is late October.

BEFORE ANYONE CANCELS THERE ORDER

It would be great if we could almost build a class action style cancellation list to put to Audi to say we have XX disgruntled customers who are looking to cancel their orders unless something is done to keep us happy. For example, if 25 customers all cancel at say an average of £40k that’s £1m in lost revenues! I’m sure Audi would stand up then.

Worth us creating a survey site to pull a list together perhaps?

Do it - I agree a group effort would help - I sent a complaint to Audi UK recorded delivery its been received and totally ignored.

Been waiting on mine since May, went through Audi leasing and guy has done everything he can but hands are tied. Job changed so losing company car and was treating myself. Don't want to cancel as got a great deal but frustrating.

Got a phone call from Preston Audi saying that there is still no news on build dates. I would go into further detail but can't be bothered anymore....

Anybody know the current situation with b9 s4's? I ordered one in June, and honestly expected it to get delayed, got a call yesterday saying it had arrived at the docks for dealer delivery, completely took me by suprise, I'm guessing the s4 is now passed off

Not as bad as some have suggested, not helped of course by the dire information the dealerships have..

Good news. This is the 1st I have seen (on here) of any A4/S4 being built and ready

When you guys do eventually collect your cars I really hope Audi do something special at the handover. God knows you all deserve it and Audi do need to reward its customers for their tenacity and patience...

They wont for me as I have specifically asked for no handover (showroom 'unveiling'). I wont allow them to prep the car so they wont do a handover in the showroom. I always find it very cheesy and pointless anyway. I just want to pick the car up from an outdoor car park space unwashed and unprepared with only minimum packaging removed. Even though this request is becoming a little more common they still look at you like you have two heads!

You will still have a handover from the salesperson, just not within the handover room...

Exactly what I said above. They will have it outside and hand me the keys. All I want none of the other nonsense they call a 'retail experience'

Well ok but you will still have a handover whatever, where you will may well need to complete paperwork, get any 'freebies', the UBS cable etc and asked about other Audi offers. If you will be 'just handed over the keys outside' then I'd be very surprised. But hey, if you don't wish for any other concessions from Audi that is up to you but I'd be pressing them for some.

When you lease they dont take you through offers and its one signature then keys in hand if you decline the 'experience'. Done it many times. I already have free winter mats and a few things the dealer is sorting but nothing of significance and they will be in the boot with the USB lead in the glove box or somewhere I suspect.
I always make it very clear to dealers I dont want any nonsense just give me the keys and dont waste my time with anything else. Sounds rude but im not there to make friends just to get the car without small talk.

I’m going to have a chat with the dealer tomorrow. If they cannot 100% guarantee a before end of Jan delivery I’m walking.

I’m also concerned that the change to a 2.0 litre engine may increase the insurance quote I’ve had. The audi’s Low insurance was one of the deciding factors.

I can't believe the lack of information regarding the spec of the facelift model.

E.g. the torque/mpg figures of the 150ps TFSI engine.
The design of the now standard 19" wheels on the S-Line model.

I think if I saw you coming I would put the keys in an envelope labelled Mr White stick them on the window and lock the doors

Quite normal with Audi when introducing a new or revised model unfortunately. Brochures tend to come out even after cars have been delivered.
Have you seen this though https://www.audiworld.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=94769&

It seems as though the black editions will also have red brake callipers and interior carbon inlays as standard....

@Inti786 That'd be nice, but it looks like U.S. spec cars are a tad different package-wise to everywhere else

Im sure i seen it also on the audi german site, but hopefully the UK version has it, after all, we are waiting for months!! Haha

Question: is the S Line Competition Pack, what we would class as a black edition in the UK? Confused..

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think so. A few months ago I posted a off with basic specs and there was no mention of the competition pack.

For those that have cancelled has there been any resistance from Audi?

Not a single mention of the A4 is in the useless magazine .. there is a small section that mentions the BE coming on A5 and Q5 although nothing on the A4 .

Maybe they are going to mention the A4 in time for it's next edition? Is it published twice a year? :tearsofjoy:
