Facelift Post Pics Of Your Facelift RS3 8V In Here

Got to say the rear quarter view of both the saloon and sportback are the best views of the RS3... by far the most aggressive looking angle especially when you get low :icon thumright:

Need to yeh...just a lot of people complaining about knocking noises which is putting me off. May look in to KW height adjustable instead

That’s what’s steering me clear of lowering at the min too... that and the money to get it done right now hahah

Looks great. A 20mm drop will really set it off.

It looks like I could end up with a Glacier White RS3 Saloon. It pretty much has everything, just missing red brakes but the white and black look is fine.

nice looking car @infernox

Thanks but not mine yet lol. Funny thing is, I checked the P/X value of that car. They're selling it for £44,989 online but the P/X value was £35k. I know it doesn't take options into account but I could see them buying it for slightly more for that and making almost £10k profit from it. Hopefully I can get a good discount on it and maybe they have better APR% and GFV than Audi.

Also I asked about the start up versions and got this response from an Audi dealer.

"I have spoken to the Sales Team who have advised the 'start up version' is irrelevant, its not a new specification, its just the way the vehicle descriptions are being written. Sorry for any confusion."

Personally I think there's more to it than that.

always a good shout checking the P/X, something nearer £40k maybe :icon thumright:

agree, also think there is more to the start up versions

I gather you know treg date, as when I typed in a few numbers, and guessing at Nov 17, came back with:

Yeah the reg plate was in the pictures so I just entered that into the P/X value for Carwow and Autotrader. Unfortunately though, the car got sold quite quick. Guess my haggling took too long and someone wanted it full price lol. Anyway I still got until May with this S3 so I'll just keep an eye out for others, no rush if I can't get a brand new one.

There are more options but they're all more expensive. I realised with the Buyacar website that was recommended earlier for having cheaper finance, that its not actually cheaper. Lower APR% sure but the GFV values are lower too counteracting it. For example, a 2018 RS3 saloon PCP for 36 months has a GFV of around £24k, its only got 10 miles on it and I chose 6k miles. The same thing on Audi finance calculator has a GFV of £26k.

Some more I've found is this Nogaro Blue one:

And this exclusive purple colour one.

Am now into four weeks of ownership and lovin’ it! Promised I’d post a pic when I got a chance but today is the first time I’ve been able to spend some quality time on the polishing front so here she is. Good old Ara Blue - can’t beat it for looking nice in cloudy weather .....

The only thing is, they both pretty much got the same options, are the same price but the Blue one has 4000 miles and the purple one only has 50 miles. Does anyone know of any finance brokers? I was looking at the PCP calculators and found the finance amount was £35-36k for what I was looking at. If you take a loan out for that with the 3 year term I was looking at, its over £1k a month which is over double what I wanted to pay. The PCP monthlies are lower because of the GFV, so I was looking for other sources of PCP than Audi or whatever the second hand dealers have. Just need to get the numbers right. I know loans under £25k have APR of around 3% but over that is 6.7%. With the GFV, surely the loan amount would be less?

Yeah I checked there but they also have quite low GFV. E.G £45000 car has optional final payment of £17k after 3 years. I'm not sure if it depends on the car, I only used the quote calculator on the website. It didn't find the RS3 Saloon number plate.

Edit: Just found a list of them here: https://www.freeindex.co.uk/categories/financial_and_legal/personal_finance/car_finance/

Audi seem to set the GFV on them after 4 years between 23k and 24k if bought new or nearly new.

I’ve heard good things about this company

Try oracle finance, ask for Thomas Ward

I'll have a look at both of them. Yeah AudiNutta, that's why it's annoying seeing other finance companies have a GFV of 6-7k less, so their lower APR% mean nothing.

A while back I looked into using the likes of Oracle instead of Audi finance. Oracle were helpful and pretty decent to be fair. But a lot of these companies who offer better APRs than Audi seem to set their GFVs lower. I suppose it's a way of them reducing their risk.

I checked Magnitude Finance. Their website quote gave me a GFV of £23,406.81 after 3 years and they have APR of 6.8%, so still worse than Audi Finance. They also have something called Balanced Payments Scheme, a quick look of it made me excited as it had a GFV/Balloon payment of £28,150 and APR of 5.9%. Turns out its not an optional final payment though, you have to pay it.

It does seem a struggle to get better than Audi finance, especially considering GFV values, short of going Personal Loan, but then monthlies WAY higher

Turns out there is a finance calculator on the websites of some garages selling the RS3 Saloon. A 67 plate car with 150 miles has a GFV of £24,172.07 after 3 years, which is pretty decent. After 4 years its £21,537.77. I'm looking at an 18 plate with 50 miles though so GFV should theoretically be a bit higher and hopefully with some discount, I can get it the monthlies to where I want it.

Only thing being that as used, interest rates are almost double what new are. New for the RS3 is around 6% ish whilst used probably 10+. What monthly you hoping for?

Yeah I know about the increased APR for used cars with Audi dealers but the cars I'm looking at are nearly new cars with very low miles or pre-registered/unregistered cars. The Audi dealers don't have many now so the ones I'm looking at now are all from independent car sales etc. Just going to choose one from these, pretty much the same spec but different colours and a few other small differences. All same price too. Unfortunately the Nogaro Blue one got sold.

White RS3 Saloon - 18 plate - 1k miles

Purple RS3 Saloon - 18 plate - 50 miles

Nardo Grey RS3 Saloon - 67 plate - 150 miles

Ara Blue RS3 Saloon - 67 Plate - 170 miles

So purple one seems the best value but I'd have to see the colour in person and good I got choice. It'd definitely stand out and be unique, not many video of that colour around so I can visualise it. If they were all the same miles and reg, I'd choose the glacier white.

Haha thanks guys. I'll get calling tomorrow and over the weekend to sort something out.

I'd have to see it in the flesh, but potentially my order of preference would be purple, Nardo, white, blue.

Blue with black pack would be higher up that list but the alu pack washes the Ara blue out.
