What have you done today?

F sake what a bunch of misfits. Simple to know how to Jack a car up. They paying to fix It?

They would be if I could narrow it down to which tyre fitter it was!! Both sides of the car have been jacked up using the floor and it’s destroyed the rubber grommets letting water in.

Looks like it’s been going for a long time so pin pointing who did it is impossible.

Worth checking though, if I’d have caught it earlier it would have been a relatively easy fix....now it needs to go to the local friendly welder.

... i did finish rear bumper with paint ...

That has to be the best duplex exhaust set up on the S3 I’ve ever seen, good work bud! Look really good

Nice work, I had a been thinking along the same lines but seen a rs4 rear diffuser on the s3 just need to pick up a spare rear bumper to mock it up

Had a busy weekend all based around bringing the S3 into the 21st century. Fitted a MFSW, genuine Audi hands free Bluetooth, Dension Pro BT for music streaming, DAB radio module, new all in one DAB/FM/AM roof aerial, SDS (only for the handsfree so far as haven’t done the update on the RNSE) and reverse camera. All worked first turn of the key which I was amazed by :tearsofjoy:

Nice work. Are all the controls fully functional?

Yeah, all but the NAV button which I knew wouldn't do anything. Everything else is fully functioning even down to the buttons illuminating with the lights on.

Great stuff. I've not entertained doing a similar swap myself, but remember reading older threads (and on the Golf forums) where it seemed a PITA to get the controls working. If it's doable, and hopefully not toooooo much of a ballache, then that's good news

It wasn't hard to do to be honest, @syncro did all the hard work and passed all the information on to me. I could never have worked it all out without him but once he explained what was involved it was pretty straight forward. I owe him a couple of beers :beercheers:. Re-wiring the airbag was a bit daunting and I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you're confident with that sort of thing (or using a different steering wheel/airbag combo with the same airbag connection as the original S3 one).

Any chance of a right up I’ve had this wheel fitted for ages and not got round to getting the controls working or the Bluetooth only thing working is airbag n horn

@Tj 0785 Not really much I can write as a guide for the Bluetooth, just wired it in (Mic In, Audio Out, Live, Earth, Can Hi, Can Lo & K Line), coded it in with VCDS and it all worked. What's your issue with it?

If you've got the airbag and horn working on your wheel you're halfway there. If @syncro doesn't mind me sharing some of his information I can do a write up for you of getting the MFSW controls working? It involves a bit of hunting for parts but I can supply you all the part numbers you need.

If you can would be good, He did email me about it months ago but I cannot find them with a rough sketch and odd part number

Leave it with me and I'll knock a guide up for you, might take me a few weeks because I haven't got much free time at the moment but I'll get your email address when I've done it and send it over.

Cheers do you know of the top of your head the part number for the Bluetooth mines not working and I know only certain ones are compatible

Yes that’s ok with me if you want to use any of that info or pictures to do a how-to/write up

So I did a thing today. NEVER EVER AGAIN

fair play, all in one piece.... I think most cut and hack the downpipe at the flex to get it out. My next purchase is a pipewerx downpipe, I don’t think I’ll be fitting it myself though.

Today I mostly took some pictures...

Went to a audi meet up at Belfast audi that I was invited to by Sandra. Big thanks to Sandra as it was a good morning and lovely breakfast.
Took a lot of pictures but it won't let me upload them as it says there to big. We also got to see the new A6 that is not reviled until Wednesday so we where asked if we took pictures of it not to upload those until after that or they would get in to trouble.
I'm looking forward to the next one.20180915 094210

I just email pictures to myself or if on phone screenshot them so they are small enough

You
Must be a sucker for punishment, what power this one at? Any plans for it

Not really had a chance to have a good look but up till now I've discovered it's got

3"downpipe
sports cat
full non res milltek
fmic (need to see what kind, looks like a Forge as it's not massive)
AGU largeport head
horrible k&n filter
worst dv in the world (splitter r)
fuel pump sounds nice and starts first time so hoping that's been done

So up till now my main plan it to get a decent cone filter/heatshield and change the DV

Trying to find the owner who carried out the work, I'm not sure if the rods have been done, looking at the rest the work, I'm hoping they have

It needs a good stage 2 map, current map doesn't seem to be matching up with all the hardware imo, on a recent dyno run it made approx 250, not bad but could be better

@Tj 0785 What's your email address mate? Nearly finished this guide for fitting/wiring in the MFSW.

Post it up in a thread Warren? Then we could all refer to it for those of us who want to do the modification. It could go into the stickies as well then

I am collecting a lot of parts now as many parts are going unavailable and the cars a keeper.

The two foam bonnet pads are no longer available as well:blue:

This is just a quick observation..... but me thinking that mine have been cut down, might not be case?! It seems from what I can see, the facelift had the shorter ones, covering just over the headlight. And the pre facelift had the ones that continued towards the bonnet catch.... I could be talking complete rubbish, just something I’ve noticed! Anyone else can confirm?
