Looking to remap by 2014 177 and have found a few places online but they seem to offer off the shelf maps rather than something more bespoke to the particular vehicle.

I have seen angel tuning who look quite good but any others that can be recommended? I am in SW London if it makes any difference.

What’s people’s experience of mapping the 177, generally what were the results with only a map?

To be honest not sure. Want a bit more grunt but also it seems to be a bit thirsty compared to my b7 so maybe better economy also.

mine

done by Ben Parsons at Devil Developments. Highly recommended from me

Was that a map applied during a rolling road session as I see that have a dyno.

Was yours originally a 140?

I got my old 177ps Quattro mapped in NI by Autotune - rolling roaded @ 217bhp after being Mapped. Totally transformed car mate

Ok thanks - going to try and find somewhere that can map it on a dyno as I’d like to see the before and after. Struggling to find a place like that relatively close to me but will keep looking.

i recently got my a4 2.0 (120bhp) remapped by Revo (through Midland VW). Saw increases from 127bhp to 178bhp and similar increase in torque figures. Happy with the remap and happy with the gain.

How much did that cost? I’ve just bought a 177 quattro so thinking of this down the line

Did it improve your fuel economy ?

£240 mate.
Massive improvement in economy. Went from low 30s mpg to high 40s / over 50mpg on long runs

I can see you're in SW London; is Bexleyheath (SE London/ North Kent borders) any use to you?

If so, Sanspeed have a rolling road dyno; they stage-one mapped my S4 last year. Phone 020 8301 4676, ask for Graham.

Will get in touch with them to ask.

I have spoken to Bobby and I may goto him but not sure when.

Thanks for the leads.

can i ask all you guys who had remaps, did you get egr mapped out or dpf removed etc too?

Just EGR off here. The reason I got a remap as refused to spend £300 on a new EGR

I have the same car, 177bhp Tdi, but a Quattro.

Looking at the option of a Wagner intercooler & remap...

Or is £650 for the cooler not worth the hassle?

I wouldnt bother. I have no issues with intercooler on stage 1

Drastically. Went from 30-35mpg up to 49-54mpg with remap. More on long journeys.

I got the map took off for warranty work and seen the mpg drop again. Once warranty work done, map was put back on.
