Hi - the roof rails were in the boot car recent, when I took the car in for a valet and now one of the rubber feet is missing (front right - on a 2012 A6 (C7) Avant OEM roof bar).

I've filled in a "parts request" on the site, but given how small an innocuous this is, I'm not sure anybody is going to jump at it and I don't want to have to buy another £200+ set of roof rails, just to get a rubber foot, so I don't damage the car :(

All constructive advice / suggestions appreciated!!

hmmmm... if I could get hold of the scanner, I guess I could scan the LHS version, flip it and print, but aren't those usually plastics? I need to replicate the density of the rubber too?

Have you rung audi to check for footpack kit?

We have different materials at work on our 3d printers some of which are a similar density to rubber.
The feet on my roof bars are a plastic and much harder than rubber

No, but that might be what I'm after!!

Are your ones Audi originals? Mine have plastic feet and then very squidgy rubber that gets compressed to the required torque based on the supplied "torque wrench"...

Have a look at 4G9071227B - that is listed as "housing lower part" for "right front". It looks cheap in the grand scheme of things too :)

where are you getting prices for that?

4G9071227B does look right!! it's the third part down in that stack of 4 pieces...

Google.

Was it any good?
I'm pretty sure that's correct - just getting my local Audi to try to source it (£12), but currently on back order - I've been away for a few weeks, so only phoned them today... I'll give them another week to see if they can confirm a delivery date. With current plans, I only need it for mid-Oct.

...or might get it online from one of the EU suppliers (all4vag.es seems to the only place that claim to stock it)...

VAG have been having some issues with parts deliveries recently. My other half has a Golf and I recently went to get some parts from our local VW dealer - the parts manager explained they did a KFC DHL and switched their logistic network over to someone else and it went totally pete tong! Wrong stuff to wrong dealers, Audi parts to VW, duplicate orders and all sorts - she was not happy with life at all!!
