Hi, sorry to be a pain and i hope ive posted in the right section but im going to look at a 2011 2.0 tdi S line Black edition later on and im a total audi noob.
Can anyone tell me anything to look out for on these cars/engines ?
I really cant be more specific about spec, other than its got the Audi concert system rather than the colour screen and on paper its very economical..... not even sure if its quattro or not ????
Anyway thanks for having me on the forum and please flood me with information :)

Thanks for the link.... im trying to find out about common engine issues but im a little confused.... what engine code is this likely to be if its a 2011 car ?

Yes its listed as a 138 bhp
There’s 2 versions of the 2.0 tdi, 140 and 170. When I was looking I heard from other people that the 140 is generally a bit more reliable with less problems, but I don’t know any specifics. The 140 is only about a second slower 0-60 so not really noticeable with general driving.

I got a 2011 black edition 140 6 months ago and absolutely love it. Power is enough for me at the moment. It’s having the cam belt/water pump done now as that hasn’t been done by the previous owner, but I knew that when buying.

Dpf light came on twice during winter months, but a spirited motorway drive sorted it out without any problems.

I love the black edition styling and interior.

Yes this is the same car then.... not a car that i've been looking at at all but it just stood out in this trim in White... little let down by the tech level but i'm sure this can be replace in the future.... i'm more concerned over and common issues but to be fair i aint seeing many on this engine other than rare oil pump issues... earlier engines seem more prone from my few hours of looking

Yeah exactly, from what I researched it’s a pretty solid engine.

Mine is the same as the one your looking at with the concert audio. It is a bit outdated, but you can upgrade it fairly easily to a third party headunit. There’s plenty of guides on this forum.

Well I took the plunge and left a deposit on this car.... due a service and cambelt change but the garage was great and offered to do this.... I'd prefer genuine parts though so negotiated a price difference compromise instead..... pick her up tomorrow with a full MOT :)
