I've just a bought an 2014 Audi A6 2.0Tdi Ultra,on pick up i noticed the sat nav display on screen message "Please insert a valid navigation data medium' i phoned the garage(Arnold Clark) who said that the car didn't have an sd card ,and now they are saying that as it was previously owned the original owner must not have took out sat nav as an option,is this true?i thought sat nav came pre installed on audi's?
Any help appreciated as i dont fancy spending 500-600 pounds on putting it on myself.

The newer systems run the nav off SD card as apposed to disc like my 55 reg.

You'll need a new sd card no doubt with the nav loaded onto it.

Clearly they're idiots as if the nav wasnt activated you wouldn't see satellite numbers, so the nav card has been removed.

Before you ring them back, call local audi parts or service desk, quote your vin & ask them to check the original manufacturer spec list for satnav & also the card nav maps.

If audi say it came with both, get a copy & show your seller thus proving it should have maps.
