look like DTM & special edition 18" ronals, very nice and certainly a bargain.

Yeah stamped on the back so are the stem ones!
ET in these are a 43 tho so might need some spacer as my last ones were ET33

Yep , you will need some spacers now.
I had those Ronal's factory fit on my special edition, nice rims but a shame they were only made in et43

Just been out for a bottle of wine and a bar of choccy, got forced over by a manic bus driver , hit a ruddy big pot hole and guess what, yep smacked my new front nearside alloy.....arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh….and that's going to cost , working out to be a very expensive evening thus far.

Sorry to hear that. Hope you can get it fixed for not too much.

Since my car was stolen from my house, the police haven't been massively helpful to be honest so it looks like im looking for a new car...Really liked my B7 Avant so may go for the same again, but the TFSI, rather than the TDI.

I'm gutted that it's unlikely now that I'll get my car back, but hey, at least I get to shop around for a new car but im worried i'll probably get robbed by the insurances 'estimated market value'.

DON'T accept their first offer, look around for adverts for cars of the same year spec etc as your old one & print off some examples of prices they are being sold for, armed with this info you can argue with your ins co as to the price yours was worth.

Thanks for the tip. A work colleague said the exact same thing to me today so i'll definitely be doing this :d

Swapped the snub mount for new one. Found one allen bolt rounded off and another one missing so guess the previous owner attempted it before but stopped half way.

Will have to wait and get new bolts in the morning, dont think I have any the same length in my shed.

Could finally get round to doing the cruise control instead I suppose.

don't forget to wack loads of waterproof grease into the bung , makes a massive improvement aswell.

A few new goodies for the old wagon. Just need some time off now to fit them!

looks like a nice treat for the wagon Rob, you could get them all fitted in the next hour.

You need a quick drain option like I use.....half turn and all emptied within seconds.:thumbs up:

That’s the same catch can I have. It’s a pain to twist off to drain. I don’t know if that’s a problem with just mine but I hope you have better luck. It is a nice looking setup though.

It does look nice now it’s installed. I can see it being a pain to empty as it didn’t want to fit to the separator correctly!

Couldn’t wait... A couple of spare hours early this morning and all sorted. The old plugs looked pretty mucky so I think it was definitely the right time for a change.

Not done anything but I just went to pick this up. Can't wait to get it fitted. Just wondering if it's worth upgrading the down pipe to 3" at the same time. Any ideas?

yep, you need to go 3" downpipe or you'll get a bottle neck , best to be as smooth flowing as possible.
You'll need a spacer or an elbow for the post cat sensor to illiminate any EML's

Well I got a set of used S4 side mirrors today and started the install. Turned out to be pretty worn and caps where sort of loose.
Install was also pretty challenging. Ended up installing one mirror only, since mine was actually broken straight off on the RH side.
Ordered brand new mirror caps, and new glass. Also attempted pulling a few dings with a slide hammer but that didn't go well.
Finally, I tightened some fuel fittings near the HPFP.

Test fitted S4 mirrors (caps to be replaced):

Fancied some turbo noises for the day so had a cone filter bodge session. Used the airbox base and snorkel to direct some cool air around it and bolted the heatshield to the base too. Amazingly it does stay quite cool... and the dv noise is quite addictive. May get a proper intake now.

So today I removed the roof rails and painted them black, the start of the de-chroming. I've ordered new black edition badges too.

I picked up some engine covers from a friend a while back but today I received the battery cover today through the post. Must clean up the others.

I carried on the painting theme and painted the fog light grilles.

This paint is pretty good, a mate recommended it to me and I'm happy with it so far.

I love mine and the colour goes great with my misano red avant! I wouldn't mind a set of rotors or maybe some standard s line alloys for the winter. Decisions decisions...

More exhaust parts arrived today, I was just going to do just the downpipe, but I'm think I'm gonna order the rest of the parts and do the full lot in one go.

Nothing yet, besides scoring a set of 300x22m rear brakes(brand new discs, very low mileage calipers and brackets).. ordering a set of brake pads in the next few days. Then when the calipers come in, im going to paint them in the same color as the front calipers, and then its mounting time! Then the braking part is done: 320mm 4-pot fronts and 300mm rears :)

Paid my mates dad to put the milltek on for me today. Just haven’t got time to do it myself at the moment.

Sounds awesome and car feels a little more responsive. I’ve got to adjust the tailpipes as they’re not siting to my licking but that’s a minor detail
