Before and after new cams are fitted (videos)

I said I would try to post a before and after video of the engine noise while it was running, and I think i was right when i said phones do not make the best source for videos but here they are anyway..

I personally think there is quite a marginal difference in noise but i guess like love, it's in the ear of the beholder . . . . wait, that's not right. . . is it ? :)

Hey mate y did you do the cams?

I’m looking to swop over a couple of mine due to wear from stuck lifters so be interested to hear your story

they were done under warranty bud, it was wearside audi who said they needed doing, i just thought mine was noisier than another vehicle i was right next too a few weeks ago, the cam change was the result of their analysis

Result then, mine is 2002 so an old model ....no warranty

In 2 minds weather it’s worth spending near on £1g just doing a single side , so 2 cams on a 4 cam motor

We’re all yours replaced?
 
all the cams were replaced, and as he flicked through the list of parts, my spidey sense eyeballs did manage to catch that they cost them £232 each, so circa £1k for 4, but the list of parts was huge, springs, gaskets, bolts.. i swear there must have been over 40 parts in the list

Well I've got same problem 3 litre 272BHP a6 c7 2015 model .
Already post video on Facebook group and 1 audi technician said they need to be sorted and I'm very very disappointed coz i bought this car 3 months ago .Have warranty for 12 month's which include timming chains snd camshaft but up to 1K so if go well over i probably have to cover rest .
