Was driving and I got a lights malfunction alert, the right headlight is out, DRL’s still working perfectly.. I’m pretty sure the dealership will want to replace the whole thing, I’m kinda clueless when it comes to lights.. Should I get a shop to fix it or should I go to the dealership? Cheers

As you can see, DRL’s are on, bulb is off

Start with fitting a D3S bulb. If you want to check then swap the one in the other headlight into it, if it works there's your issue. If it doesn't then it may need a ballast.

Sounds like a solid plan, cheers mate!

I had same issue couple months back swapped the bulb didn't work took it to Audi Stansted I had warranty they denied it on the basis headlights are not covered apparently. Took it to Audi Tonbridge where I bought the car and they accepted the warranty claim and changed the ballast job done.

Mine was same as yours DRL working dipped not. It's most likely one or the other. If you don't have warranty I remember seeing a ballast for around £40 on Amazon if it's not your bulb.

As above, swap bulb & igniter from other side to prove the fault.

Thanks guys, I will update this as I go through with the job, your help is appreciated! Thank you
