Hi guys. I'm not mechanically minded but it looks like I've got a fuel leak on my 2008 2.0 TDi. Any ideas? Hoses seem intact

Are you sure that's not water ? odd that the clips have rusted so badly

I suppose the best thing would be to wash it off with degreaser or petrol, get it spit clean and then keep an eye on it and see where its starts from if it comes back.

That is the fuel filter top cover, is one of the pipes leaking or a loose clip? Easily fixed with a new pipe and/or clips

The 2 hoses on the right hand side of the picture show evidence of very slight leakage so I reckon they’re the culprit.
I agree that the best course of action is a thorough clean/ degrease and then monitor the situation .
New clips and /fuel pipes should fix that, although there is a free way to fix it.
The clips are not that tight and you don’t need special tools to remove them.
Given the age of the car the clips might have dug deep into the ends of the existing hoses and that is now causing the weeping.
Depending on how much ‘give’ there is in the 2 right hand hoses you might get away with just taking clips off, cutting a centimetre or so of hose off carefully with a Stanley blade (giving you a ‘fresh’ bit of hose for the clips to work on) and then re-seating the hose and clips
That’s how I dealt with a very minor leak on one of my hoses once, it worked a treat.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the advice. I'll give the area a good clean and give Nessy's suggestion a go if necessary.

***, turned out to be the grease the garage had sprayed on when it was recently serviced that had melted due to the heat and pooled on top of the fuel filter. ‍ Oh well at least it wasn't anything sinister or expensive.
