just spoken to my dealer to ask how the service works, I’m not going to hit the mileage but is there a time limit to first service?
He said yes when you get to nineteen thousand, no time limit until then but after that it’s every two years if your not hitting the mileage.
Is this how it works?

The cars are set on long life service which is 19k or 2yrs whichever comes first.

Oil service is also set for this but usually comes up on the MMI as a change around the one year mark. Which is do anyway no matter...

Mines on a 18/19k service cycle and was assured by the dealer no need for earlier etc.

My oil is still full - not had to top up and with the long life oils don’t see a need to change more regularly.

Having said that I’m expecting the first service to be c£4-500

My dealer said just follow the MMI instruction. Just had oil change done at 11k, full service due and should flag up at around 20k so I've been told.

Thanks for that, I keep checking MMI thinking it’s going to start tumbling down for a service as it’s over a year old now but it’s miles off yet, phoned our dealer who didn’t fill me with confidence on the time scale if your not hitting the mileage.

The vehicles are set at variable service from the factory, however if you drive less than 10,000 miles a year and on urban roads this would be incorrect.
Thus following what the MMI instructions will not work for everyone. See here for servicing intervals https://www.audi.co.uk/owners-area/servicing-maintenance-mot/servicing-your-audi.html plus service plans can be cost effective. I am paying £9.56 a month for fixed yearly services over three years...

Thanks that’s interesting, I fall into the low mileage one.

Out of interest what did they charge for that? I'm almost 8 months in and under 3,000 miles! Bad winter so the car didn't get used much!
