SQ5 My SQ5 Order Thread *Exclusive Colour*

I raised that. My concern is Audi change the spec before release of our vehicle. Not quite sure what they could except remap the engine, but not my field of expertise. Surely they wouldn't replace the whole unit?
If they do make these 'older' vehicles compliant by dropping power, detuning, etc. what impact will that have on performance? Obviously some, but the 2.0 S-Line is only a second off 0-62, which while isn't the reason for getting the car, but it makes me question the cost premium of the SQ5.

It's a bit shocking Audi didn't see this coming. WLTP has been in the works for a while now.

She's going to forward my email to Audi UK to get their response. And so the wait continues...

You are right about the 1s difference on the 2.0. However I have driven the older 208bhp tfsi q5 and it does struggle..however the SQ5 will be much much quicker from 30-50-70 times and overtaking will be superb (hopefully)

I am hoping that Audi are only going to tune more bhp out of the engine not less...I bought this on the basis of the engine spec specified..not one that has been ‘downtuned’. My hope is that they may put some electrification in...I can only hope...

Finally, I was always going to get the engine stage 1 remapped anyway (after it has been run in) to get as much bhp and mpg as possible..

Sounds promising. Seems odd that cars are coming through, but she doesn't specify how long it was at '38'.
Good luck and fingers crossed indeed.
Yeah definitely, I'll keep you up to date with the progress from now as it hit status 38 this morning.

Hoping for mid to late July delivery but will see what happens.

36mpg..you must have a diesel and would make sense for you mileage..

Nope, it's a petrol. Light traffic, low load in the car and no rush.

Petrol costs about a tenner a week more than my previous diesel and worth every penny (on about 12k miles a year).

Had my share of diesels but loving my petrol now...

I have the 2.0 TFSI which is 252bhp, it is SO much better than the last petrol Q5, and it is pretty quick, but not in your boys league . Get my speed kicks from our Mini JCW, which is ironically the same 0-62 as my Q5 - 6.3s

I would love to get 36mpg from my SQ5 (when it arrives)...you must have a very light right foot..

However likely it be in the 20’s as most of my journey are school and supermarket runs...

On the school run (rare as my kids are grown up!) I can get low teens....

But yes, it was light foot, it goes down very quickly if you drive harder....but a motorway with lots of average speed cameras is not the place for that. Besides, the sun was shining, the B&O was on at good volume, the climate turned down and I was savouring the journey more than the arrival!

So you’ve been told you’ve left Emden?

@Geordie Lee
Pleased you’ve arrived in Germany. I hope your dealer is right and you don’t have to wait too much longer. I’ve been at Emden for 4 weeks and counting... :(

Here is the response from Carlisle Audi..hot off the press this morning..they acknowledged that they omitted a 1 hence up to 15 days..

Your car has been released to the ship on the 13th it will stay there for 15 days for the ship to fill up with other vehicles, once all full it will set sail to the UK which will take approx. 24 hrs and will reach the centre up to 5 days after that.

So looking like a mid July delivery..

There is no car tinkering done at the port..the car just waits for a ship..

Steve not sure where the October delivery has come from.

Sounds like Carlisle Audi are a bit more switched on than our dealer. I won't name names.

They are really good and would recommend them..I would push your dealer as it seems yours is in the same place...I wonder whether it has been damaged...

I would recommend them too, I took delivery from them a couple of weeks ago. Can't fault them.

I called Audi UK out of curiosity today about my car and they said it has been sitting at Emden port since the 12th of this month awaiting being loaded to a ship, they couldn't tell me when that might be but said to expect at least another 3 weeks or more for delivery to the dealer. He has confirmed there are delays out of Emden.

Asked about a courtesy car when we run past the original delivery date and he said it has to be around 2 weeks late before they try to "keep you mobile" and offer you a loaner til your car arrives.

Good work....the problem I have is that my original delivery date was 4 September. It was subsequently brought forward to mid June. So don’t think i’ll Get the same privileges...albeit 4 weeks late!

@CC-SQ5 When was your car built?

Looking forward to the first Orange or Yellow SQ5 ;)

Haha to be honest...I had planned on Porsche Green or Vegas Yellow, even as far as the likes of Solar Orange, Nogaro Blue, Nardo Grey. But I went a little more subtle as I had to keep future value in mind for resale as not everyone wants a "out there" or "shouty" colour which could prove to be a hard sell - these colours perfect for a smaller car such as RS3 etc very desirable.

I hope it doesn't disappoint but it will be one of a kind in the UK I am told.

I was going to say a frozen colour but they can't be described as subtle.

So if pushed I would go for something like the very dark metallic purple sort of colour...

Salesman thought mine was unusual in matador red. Have to say I haven't seen another on the road yet....

I've yet to see an SQ5 on the road to be honest!

I’ve seen two, a black one in December before I ordered and then a white one a week after I picked mine up.

Nice, certainly haven’t seen a Matador Red SQ5 or Q5 for that matter

some cracking deals on available SQ5's - https://www.drivethedeal.com/SpecialOffers.aspx
Admittedly not massive spec, but £9k off car not bad!

Doesnt bode well for residuals for those of us who already have them and were early adopters - based on that I doubt my car would part ex for much over £37k now... ah well, GFV of £26k so i will be keeping it to term then...

This is what fears me the most is the value it loses the minute you drive out the showroom.

Just got a private sale quote from the autotrader site - looks like i have lost £12k in 10 months, or £13k trade in.

Ouch.
