My 2010 S4 avant

Yes I think it was.
OK. I'll PM you the fitting instructions then (to save hijacking @Carlos85 's thread further!), but they should be an OEM fit if the instructions are followed correctly.
From memory, Lawrence didn't trim the spacer tabs down before painting (as is the advice), which made fitting more difficult but, despite that, had still managed to get it to fit fairly well when I last saw it in person:
20170422 111725 2 smaller
20170422 111707 smaller
20231949 438119326560972 7609058658339922412 o smaller

Try and see how long it lasts being clean this time!

Also if anyone is looking for a decent rain repellant this stuff is absolutely amazing, zero requirement for having the windscreen wipers on even at town speeds.

Trialling H2GO myself @Carlos85 but due to previous bad experiences with wiper judder only got it on the sides and back. How you finding it?

I had a little bit of judder on first application but that might have been something I did wrong because this second time of doing it there doesn't seem to be any. The beads of water are much smaller than with others I have tried so they clear easier and any dirt seems to come off really easy as it doesn't stick to the window really. Overall I am really impressed and have done all windows and the pano roof, I even noticed there aren't really any water marks on the pano roof when it gets wet and then dries off.

I haven't updated for a while on here so just thought I would stick a little update, the car feels like it had got a lot faster since I removed the lid on my injen intake and I suspect that it was actually trapping warm air in rather than keeping cool air in... Time will tell as it warms up a bit but it definitely is a whole lot quicker now and the supercharger whine is addictive as hell, I thought it was loud before but it turns out it wasn't!

Next time money allows I intend to get a rarb sorted and I have been toying with the idea of eibach springs as well.

I also want to try some different wheels probably 19's and I have been trying with the idea of getting quad tail pipes instead of the ovals but I am 50/50 on that one atm!

A little report on how the H2GO is doing, basically I continue to be amazed! It's still working perfectly! I cleaned my car a couple of times and only re-applied once... I probably didn't need to either but my OCD made me do it!

All quiet on the mods front and I have been cycling to work so I haven't been using it as much but I started it the other day to go out and the cold start made me smile!! Best appreciated with headphones probably.

Even with the 10% off it still comes to £394!!!! Didn’t realise the list price was excluding VAT

Sorry @Carlos85, don't want to hijack your thread, but just to respond quickly...

Cheaper getting my garage to spray it black

Obvously, painting your original part will be cheaper than buying a quality replacement part in addition to the part you already have (if that's what you mean), but the advantages in doing so include:

- Your original part can remain unmodified (so means you can easily return your car to stock before you sell, just like with aftermarket wheels)

- The replacement part looks much nicer (IMO) than the stock part, and better compliments a modified car

- The replacement part retains a resale value after you revert your car back to stock (e.g. to sell it)... a value that will likely increase when we stop producing them shortly, so they become even more rare and unique

Just a reminder that these parts aren't the usual mass produced Chinese stuff - we've spent a fortune designing and manufacturing these here in the UK (using some of the best designers and manufacturers in the country) and only sell directly to customers.

We've designed them to fit as well as (if not better than) the original parts, for easy DIY install.

It's always been a company run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. Our uncompromising approach to quality UK design/production means we will never make a profit - the time, money and effort we've invested to ensure these parts are some of the best quality on the market is an investment we'll never recoup.
We'll stop producing them soon as can't justify subsidising their production indefinitely.

Again, sorry for the thread hijack but just wanted to explain the background! :)

thats a bit cheeky of them.
Leave well alone
£394!!!
It does state that on the website in multiple locations.
As above, we sell directly to customers (worldwide), so taxes and shipping are calculated during the checkout process - customers outside the EU (for example) won't pay VAT, but their shipping costs will likely be greater.

Anyhow...

They look nice, but almost £400 on a piece of plastic! I know we drive Audi, but it's a bit much.

Exactly. Not enough people are willing/able to pay a premium for low-volume premium 'boutique' parts, despite (or maybe because of!) already paying for expensive lumps of metal :D
That's why we're going to stop producing them and go back to making bespoke stuff for ourselves (and will ignore all the requests to make them for other people too, next time!).

I keep toying with the idea of selling my car and getting a V8 before they become to expensive to run, I'm not 100% yet but I am wondering what people think that my car might be worth? It's just tipped over 39k miles

So I did end up selling the S4 and getting a V8... a 5.0 V8... a supercharged 5.0 V8...

It did 31mpg on the way home and is fairly lively under acceleration!

So, you actually did it. Congrats on the purchase buddy . Tell us a little bit more about it, inside, drive, comfort and spec etc.

A supercharged V8 is an automotive porn isn't it.

Yeah I took the plunge!

So it’s rated at 510ps and 461lb.ft but from all I have read that’s a conservative number, it’s red leather inside with heated and cooled seats, has alcantara roof lining keyless everything, 8 speed ZF that I am very impressed with... I thought I might notice a slower shift but it feels just as good really and is loads smoother.
The driving position is just as good as the avant was nice and low, the wheels don’t look huge but are 285 20” on the back and 255 on the front. The brakes are a big step on from the Audi and the car is quicker once your going quick enough that it doesn’t light up the rears!

There's a part of my brain that wants me to have a Jag (and it also wants me to have an Aston Martin but that won't happen). I watched the Grand Tour last night and saw Clarkson test the XE project 8. But I'm not sure I'd pay £150K for one. What's the ball-park price for a 2014 XFR then Carlos?

Yeah I know what you mean, this car would have been circa £75k I think when new as it is spec’d... it feels like a much more expensive car than the Audi did as well to be fair. I paid £26k for this one and that seems about the going amount, it has approx 25k miles and basically feels brand new. The V8 noise at low revs under half throttle is worth the price of entry!
