15m must be massive. I can do the whole car without moving the washer with 10m.

So I watched the video, very helpful. Also realised I was doing it all wrong. Explains why it was such hard work, definitely used way too much product. The learning curve continues.. ....

Damn........ You weren't wrong about the learning curve. Never knew there was so much to polishing a car

That is why ceramic is the way forward, too much p*ssing about with Polish, DA’s, toothbrushes ***!

Probably right Burt then on the other hand there's reward in seeing the result of the hard work out in. Not to mention ceramic detailing etc isn't cheap.

Completely agree, bet it is really rewarding when you get it right, but I am sh*t at hand polishing let alone machine. A good ceramic should last a few years, especially if maintained which I should just about be able to do. One day when I have more time I will invest in DA, but not for the next few years thanks for sure. Great you have something to perfect your technique on.

I think it's going to take some time for me to perfect my DA technique and the old Toyota goes tomorrow. It did come up looking pretty glad for an old dog but I'm going to have to do better on the A3 of the Mrs won't be happy lol

Haha, too true....BUT....he had a old Verso to “have a go on” not a 2018 Mythos Black Q5 . I have personally experienced a bad machine polish on our Mythos Black A1 a few years ago, scarred me for life ‍♂️

If given the chance you would polish with it if you could, *off topic * thinking of washing the car either tonight or tomorrow

Gave mine a quick going over this morning...
It looked like someone had emptied a sandpit over it!!
Only gave it a prewash with BH auto Foam in one of them demon shine spray bottles using the normal hose.
Worked out ok..
Then BSD applied with a damp cloth which worked better than last time as it wasnt as grabby as using a dry cloth...
Wheels done with BH auto wheel and hoovered the mats...
Back to how it was last week now before the rain :)

With the Sonax less is better u don’t need a lot of it. But with this weather we are getting up here u need to work quickly or wait till it gets a bit cooler in the evening before applying.

Both are brilliant in my opinion. Never had my windscreen and windows as clean as now with vision, and haven’t even polished windows yet, which I will get to.

Treat yourself to some angelwax h2go. I put it on a good couple of months ago and it’s still going strong. Not sure yet but the vision will probably strip it off but iv got lots so no biggie

Gave it a try yesterday after washing and did notice it’s pretty thick. Easy enough to remove though....it was still pretty warm so I just did a couple of panels at a time
