Going to be doing G3 paste, Poorboys Black Hole them Natty's wax. Should come up looking good.

Well todays polishing went very well I've got a long way to go with learning how to use the DA properly but the results using the DA with G3 and poor boys are amazing. Even my teenage daughter passed comment on how the old car looked..... Lol

I'll do some pictures later when the Natt'ys wax goes on. Wish id done it yesterday as ive got up and it rained last night. Nice beading though.......

Should it be ok to thoroughly dry the car and then apply the wax ?

You might be best rinsing it first to get rid of the rainwater and any water spots, then dry it.
Just make sure it all looks nice and clean before the wax.
Interested to see the results!

Thanks for the tip Mike. Just got to hope the weather holds out today now.....

I know what you mean!! Might be an option to do a couple of panels at a time (rinse/dry/wax) if the weather could change?
Rather than rinsing then drying the whole car before wax.

Had to go Halfords to buy some applicators for the fusion wax, as the one's that they supply are the block type you would use to apply the ceramic coatings why! !! !! I don't know also got the extendable glass cleaning stick for the interior glass.. .. Not finished got myself one of these £165 good price bit of a impulse buy... As my year old k2 is working so it's been a expensive weekend to say the least ... Lol finished buying detailing kit for a wee while now

You said the same after the last purchase @jassyo06 . Handover your card mate. Next time you are going out with that Blind Person assist dog which will be trained to bite as soon as you touch your bank card

I have to upgrade my K2 that I have been using for the last god knows how many years. Kind of getting bored of it now. I shall visit our Halfrauds as soon as Mrs. is back.

What mike said above. It has happened to me only once and I actually washed the car again rather than just rinsing it.

@Tashfeen .... Natty'ys wax all done. Note to self...... dont apply quite so much wax next time. Was a right pain to get it done and the sun didnt help much either. Onto the A3 next time. The Brilliant Black paintwork on that is in really good condition too so i have high hopes for the results of that .

Yeah direct sunlight does strange things to car products mate especially wax and polish, using the DA correctly is a real learning curve, really warm weather doesnt help either as the polish will cure/dust quicker, yer Das 6 should never be used over the speed setting of 4 for paint correction......2ft x 2ft area's only until your confidence and technique improves...always make sure yer trailing product......as you move along with the polisher,Bilt Hamber cleansing fluid is brilliant stuff for cleansing the paint from excess polish after a pass,it's a must have

When you've machined polished a certain area....buffing off the excess polish with only a cloth is not enough as this wont entirely remove the polish you've applied to your car,you need to cleans the paint of all residue, this is when you should use a isopropanol mix comes into play,ie Bilt Hamber cleansing fluid.....it cleanses the panels after polishing,so when you apply yer wax you have totally clean paint.....and makes the wax so much easier to apply and buff off....and it will protect and bead far longer....and helps with marring that l can see on the bonnet of your car, you'll also need to clean your pads after each pass as these clog up......as the pads won't be as effective when they're all clogged up with polish...so use a old toothbrush after each pass...on the pad whilst it's attached to the DA
