Availability of 2017 maps in MyAudi?

Is it possible to set up an email account in my audi so I can view it on the mmi screen? My twitter account also says that it is active in my audi account, how can I turn this off as I believe it sends random tweets in relation to the cars location?
With my Android phone connected via Bluetooth I can see my emails without going anywhere near the myAudi site. There's an option under the phone menu, next to the SMS inbox.

MMI is setup to beep if I get a text or a new email and an envelope appears at the bottom of the screen. Can't differentiate between the two though. I probably ought to try using Android car, but that means plugging the phone in and most of the time I can't be bothered.

Have you got a screenshot of that mate, I don't get this on my MMI when my android phone is connected via Bluetooth?

Does anyone have a contact number or email so i can get in touch with Audi about the issue i have with my account please?

I think Audi Customer Services are on : 0845 769 9777

Cheers mate, appreciate it.
It took me a while to record, but below is some video showing how to display emails from a Bluetooth connected Android phone...

Weirdly, when I tried to video this the first time, neither the text message or email options were visible in the menu. The only way I could get them to appear was to delete and re-pair the phone.

Thanks for that mate, really appreciate you doing that for me, top man. I have all those icons other than the email one at the bottom, not sure how i get this to work, any ideas anyone?

I'm guessing the phone needs to support the Bluetooth message access profile, but if you can see SMS then that is being used. Have you checked to see that your combination of phone and MMI support email? You can check here: http://microsites.audi.com/ngw_assets/mobile_db/index.html?ds=json_en ?

Thanks for that link mate, I've looked at it and it states my Samsung S6 is compatible for email but only if my car has 'Connectivity Package MMI Navigation. I only have the standard MMI that's comes with the 2017 S3 which is obviously sat nav, is this what they are referring to?

Well after making several calls to Audi Customer Services and them not returning my calls I eventually dealt with a guy who did look into this issue for me. However, he has said that my car doesn’t have the compatibility to have email through my MMI so I’m no further forward. I did ask what the apparent optional extra is to get this to work but he said he doesn’t know and I would need to call into a dealership to ask them, not convinced on that one to be honest. He said it might just be a software update.

Anyone have any ideas as it seems Audi who manufacturer the product cannot advise on the product which is ludicrous!

I think the problem is with the phone, not the car.
Not all Bluetooth stacks support all the possible functions. The Audi compatibility website shows phones which have been tested with the Connect service. There are four filters which can be applied. This morning there are 195 phones listed as compatible (Android ans IOS), but if you apply the SMS/Email filter that drops to 69. That is because the phone manufacturers have only included the SMS/Email function in the Bluetooth stack on those phones. My knowledge of Bluetooth is sketchy at best, so I'm not sure if it would be possible to change the Bluetooth stack; I have my doubts as it is embedded in the O/S, but if an Android (or IOS) guru has a way of changing the stack I'm sure we would all be pleased to hear it.

Thanks mate, that does actually make more sense than when Audi tried to advise me, I'll check the list.

No problem.
I went through the same routine when my phone didn't seem to play nicely with the car. Hope you get a solution. Sadly, mine seems to be to get a new phone, or don't get SMS/Email on the go.

Just checked the list and it appears mine is compatible. I have a Galaxy S6 Edge and it is ticked as being ok with emails. That said in regards to displaying text messages it is intermittent if I can see them so I'm still quite puzzled!

Good result for you on the compatibility front. As you mention an intermittent problem might be worth pestering Audi about it.

I think the cost of a compatible phone outweighs the convenience for me, so no emails on the go. Not sure whether to be disappointed or not.

Is anyone having trouble logging into their myAudi account, keeps redirecting me to the USA site which is obviously no good?

I know this was discussed some time ago but I've eventually got round to looking into getting my emails to display on the MMI.

I've done all of the setting up procedures on the myAudi website and on the MMI and the MMI has accepted my log in credentials. However, there is no widget on myAudi website for emails so I'm guessing there is still something I haven't done, anyone shed any light on this please?
