Well, I picked up the S3 today and so far I thinks it’s the dogs nuts :grinning: A few little touches however that I’m missing compared to the Merc is the S3 has no footwell lights or puddle lights & the door sill aren’t illuminated, would love this

8V or 8P? .... Both are good .... Congrats on either

Awesome ..... It's a shame we didnt get the S3 or RS3 8P's over here .... I got the closest I could tho .... Everything minus the extra 56hp ....

Sportback? Color?
You get a S-tronic or manual?
If it has a stock exhaust you could do a straight pipe catback from the midpipe/downpipe .... They should yield the best sound without drone or bad noise ....

It's always cool to get a awesome new car eh haha

I went for the S-tronic. I think it’s an after market exhaust but not too sure

Awesome .... S-tronic is much quicker and more enjoyable with the pops on shift .... Looks clean

Is it fairly loud? .... If it's quiet it's likely stock .... If the tips are round lip tips it's likely stock catback but it could be an aftermarket downpipe which would be cool

There's so many mods you can do to these .... But there probably best left stock .... Although OEM+ mods are worth it .... Polybushings are not a good addition.... I have them and there frustrating .... An 034 rear sway bar is a good addition

What do you not like about the Polybushings? I intend to fit these to my 03 S4

If you daily your vehicle .... Such as I .... The poly will dry out the synthetic grease fast .... And it will squeak loudly when it's cold or when it rains sometimes ....

Polybushings need to stay greased to allow ride comfort and proper handling and suspension operation which means you probably have to regrease every 8000 km .... which I haven't done .... Nor do I have the time to pull my suspension apart everytime it needs regreasing .... When possible you can fit zerk fittings, which will fix this issue .... But you can't always fit zerk fittings* on some of the control arms .... Otherwise that would solve the issue of having to pull the suspension off to regrease ....

In some locations it's better to use spherical bearings .... Such as a trailing arm bearing .... Then it doesn't need rebuilding or regreasing for awhile and allows more movement of the suspension.
