Hi,

On page 86 of the B9 manual, there is also a switch shown for ventilated seats as well as heated seats:

Is this feature standard for S-Line & Black Editions?

Cheers

After a curry I sometimes wish I had ventilated seats.

Stupid IMO. I have wished for ventilated seats probably 100+ times in the summer over the past 5 years. Does Audi think black leather car seats don't get hot in the British summer ? Because they really do.

Indeed. Hence the superiority of alcantara in the S-line.

Absolutely, one of the main reasons I selected the grey alcantara. I happen to think it looks and feels nicer than leather too, but that is purely personal opinion.

Thanks, that probably explains why it doesn't appear in the list of options on the Audi UK online configurator.

Talking of the black Alcantara seats which I've specified on my Black Edition build, will I be getting these seats? (taken from the B9 photo thread). If so, they look quite classy along with the piano black trim. Vast majority of Alcantara seats photos online are in grey, hardly any in black. With the exception of the gearbox (i have specified S Tronic), my A4 interior should look exactly like below :)

Yep that's the black Alcantara. Looks lovely ! I don't have a preference over black or grey, but opted for grey myself. No real reason though, just had to choose one..

Must admit that interior does look great, even better with S-Tronic I would think too, nice and sleek. Personally I prefer the black, but each to their own - that picture shows me that black would be a good choice for me.

A silly question but in that photo what is that thing with the Audi logo in one of the cup holders? Does it come included as standard?

Mine has ventilated seats so must be available in the UK

It's a my2016 I think. A4 Avant sport 217 diesel.

I love the cooling seats though they feel weird, but great in you're in a suit and need to keep cool.

They were definately not standard on a 2016 model, mine han't got them and its a 2017 one. Check the brochures at the head of this forum if you're not sure...

@Smileysam That is very weird as they have never been a UK option or ever been offered for the UK market. They are only offered in countries with extreme heat like Australia and the Middle East. I don’t even think they are offered in Europe.
The ventilated seat option is a cooling seat button below the heated seat button.

It wasn’t an option either when I ordered my my2016 / my2017 model.

I've heard of rare cases where the Audi factory have left out ordered options by mistake, so perhaps it works both ways and Audi have included the ventilated seats by mistake on Smileysam's car? That seems the only logical explanation considering that the option doesn't exist for UK model cars.

For MY16 in Australia they were a $2600 option so around £1500. Had them as standard in a previous VW Passat CC and can't say they were much use.

I bought as a stock car new on a 66 reg. I was under the impression it was just an optional extra that was included
