I am new may have been covered many times all ready so I appolagise

I have a 04 plate 1.9tdi Audi avant estate in looking at doing a egr delete on this but I have seen the full kit from dark side and also the blacking plate kit on EBay I just wondered if anyone has just blanked it off with the plates or do I need the full delete kit thanks

I heard that before 2007 they didn't go into limp mode and would I need the full egr delete kit or could I get away with the blanking plates

Full delete kit and you lose the ASV .

1.5 mm slip in blank at base of egr feed pipe near exhaust manifold .

I know there are attributes to getting the max horsepower-torque out of your ride, but if your car fails SMOG when all is done, is it really worth it to pay a fine or reverse engineer your mod and then after meeting smog...only to redo it all over again in 2 years?

Fails exhaust emissions testing, or are there no regulations concerning exhaust emissions limits based on year make and model of your vehicle in your country?

EGR Deleting / disabling / blanking / egr out remapping reduces smoke opacity due to more oxygenated combustion .

Inert exhaust gasses don't provide complete combustion thus incompletely burnt fuel molecules known as soot are rife .

Egr's is why DPF's were invented .

However after 20th May for some and much the case here it all gets very unfair and silly...
